ME was more emotional than anything from ME2.

Jacob's scene is underrated. I love the expression on femshep's face when Jacob takes off his shirt.

Also Jacob is a lot more loyal than people think. After the love scene go down to the armoury and chat with Jacob then break up with him. The dialogue he says is heartbreaking and you get the feeling that he really wants to be with Shep when its all over.

Adding to my earlier semi-joking post: Thane's romance scene was actually pretty moving with what seemed like genuine tears, anger and emotion. I enjoyed it quite a bit (along with the kissing *cough*). I would have preferred to see more of Thane though, I mean, Jacob does take his shirt off so it's only fair. :P

garrus was beyond hilarious. You could tell he does not get much action.

Always thought the rating description of  'Unzipping of future blouse'  was for Thane actually hehe

This might help. A little.

It was really unfair that ALL of the ESRB cautions/descriptions were for Miranda and Jack. >:|

Liara in ME1

Miranda in ME2

Although I liked that in ME2 it wasn't like in ME1 were it was all the same, except for skin models.

The Kaidan romance is far above all others IMO.

For ME2 I would say Thane.

#1: Liara (The ME1 scenes seemed more romantic to me, plus I really like Liara. She's sweet and in ME1 its very clear that she loves you. Which is exactly why its such a dagger to the heart when she shows up in ME2 only to treat you like a damned stranger.)

#2: Tali (Tali's lament and longing is very powerful and clearly shows that she loves Shepard and in many ways it reminded me of what I liked about Liara's scene from ME1. I guess there must be a sappy romantic buried beneath my cynicism.)

#3: Jack (Even though I dislike her character, I have to admit the scene is well done. It shows that despite her phony tough pretense part of her still feels something. I was really impressed that Bioware actually managed to make me feel sorry for that mouthy ****.)

#4: Miranda: Even though I like her character, I have to admit the scene wasn't very moving. It really seems like she just wants to jump your bones and despite the fact that she looks like Yvonne Strahovski, I'm still enough of a romantic that I want more. Her scene is sexier than Tali or Jack's; but it doesn't have much feeling behind it, which I would say is entirely the fault of the writer's not Yvonne Strahovski.

#5: Ashley: That **** is dead to me after the **** she said on Horizon.

Finally, as a heterosexual male I have no opinion nor interest in Kaiden and Jacob.

PS: Some of you might think I'm judging Ashley too harshly; but remember that damned **** was the one assigned to get those guns online and because she can't handle a simple assignment half the damn colony is abducted because she didn't do her job. Then when Shepard does her job for her and saves her life and the life of all the colonists that her incompetent ass didn't get killed she has the audacity to call Shepard a ****ing traitor?! Bull****! Shepard's thrown dudes off buildings for way less than that and if she shows up in ME3 I hope we get the chance to make her regret that ****.

Garrus. Though Tali's was also quite good. I mean they clearly paid attention to just how shy/nervous some characters could be. Garrus and Tali were the most convincing by far. Also the most emotional. In the end, like everyone else, I pick the character I am most attracted to. That's all it really boils down to in the end :P

I'm guessing you haven't seen the Paragon one, just like about half of the ppl who didn't even consider her a contender for the most romantic one in ME 2...

Tali's, by far an away. Jumping on Shepard RIGHT AFTER he takes off her helmet mask is powerful. Emotional. Real.

ME1 romantic scenes were better for me especially Ashley's with her conversation right after.

Liara in ME1, Tali in 2. In part, because they both really seem to be in love with Shepard.

My vote goes to Tali because you know she was asking for it hehehe. Most sensual would be ME1 love scenes. In ME2 it's Miranda's.

Frankly, I wasn't impressed by any of the FShep romances, for all the reasons previously mentioned.  Jacob was straight-up porn, and poor Garrus just sounded awful (though I gave him major bonus points for badly disguised shyness).  I have to claim ignorance on Thane, seeing as he didn't look anything attractive to me at all, and my Shep wouldn't have gone for a guy who was clearly still mourning his wife in any case.  Kelly, likewise, struck me as someone who'd resort to boiling my fish tank if she felt threatened, so I wasn't going there with a ten-foot pole. :crying:

It also bugged me that there wasn't really a "professional" option in your discussions with any of the male characters - even the middle-of-the-road came off sounding one step away from sexual harassment.  Seriously, how do you go from dialogue-wheel "Goodbye" to spoken "I'll talk with you later, Mr. Taylor."  You basically had to be a b**** to them to get them to back off, which isn't something I should have to do (and didn't in ME1 - I just told Kaidan I wanted to keep it professional, and he did.)  I really would have liked a "bromance" option, though - "I don't want to sleep with you, but I do want to get to know you better, how about we go grab coffee or a beer sometime?"

Oh, well. Shep will just have to make do with memories and the extranet* for a little while longer.

* Cue Mordin singing in a revival of Avenue Q: "The extranet is for porn, the extranet is for porn, spend your nights on asari fetish sites for porn, porn, porn!"

I'm a heterosexual female, but I enjoy playing all the options with my different Shepards. Some go for the aliens, some go for the humans, but I try to mix it up and keep them all going in different directions. I do think it's a shame there's no male/male pairing option, I think that would have been a fun variation.

BTW, why is it that my Paragon MaleShep didn't get the Paramour achievement by staying true to Liara in ME2? What kind of message does THAT send?
