This is true.  Interestingly I find him to be one of the most believable characters in the game.  Plus the dude is just plain scary.  If he was with you in real life most people would get one look and him and run for their lives : )

I made a powerfull friend, who doesn't have any 'real' friends. He'll stay with me, even if it's just to get my help in getting his revenge.

Exactly Zaeed is more of a badass than the rest of the crew combined. He is almost keyword almost as badass as my Shepard.

Jaeed isn't one to start crying about how his daddy never got him a teddy he wanted when he was younger etc. The guy does have a lot to say about past missions and the current situation however but doesn't care what you think of him. He is badass. And during missions he drops a LOT of dialogue. He is also an excellent team-mate in battle who is very durable. All the haters are jealous that his badassry rivals their Shepards.

I just think he's seen too much **** / killed too many people, to care about anything any more. Which makes him believable and less emotional than the other squadmates. But he doesn't lack in depth, he has enough stories to tell and enough history in the game universe to warrant enough depth.



I'd love to see him further evolve in ME 3.
