There was this one time I had to post in a Batarian Forum, the thing with Batarian Forums is that their trolls glass your planet and flame wars kill hundreds. Worst than their god damn prisons. Never again, we lost a lot of good men that time.

Zaeed is fun. I don't know where all this dislike for him is from? He is tough, has super funny lines and amazing VA. Sure you can't talk to him, but man, these stories...

BTW codex states that the Blue Suns were founded by a Batarian. And suddenly two humans did it? O_o

Oh, that is the true and full history on the Blue Suns. What I don't understand is I understand why Zaeed is written out, but why would Vido also hide his contribution and say "Batarians started this thing".

Yes. But it should be common knowledge that Santiago founded them. He just kicked out Zaeed. From where the hell that Batarian came from?

Batarians are like that, you don't see them come. One day it is like nothing is different, wake up the other day and BAM! A Batarians is in charge of the Systems Alliance.

BAM! One is right behind you... right now.. don't turn around.

Hmm he was smart.. yeah I can get behind that. Kills Zaeed and then claims it was the very Batarians he was letting into the organisation that started it. Still require quite a bit of subterfuge to pull off though. But Vido was a dangerous man.

Thats a fact that would be really hard to conceal IMO. It was just out of a blue. Even in a book ( Revelation I think) it was said that Blue Suns were long before humans joined  happy galactic commune (batarian villian says that Blue Suns started to hire humans).  Maybe some writers didn't consult.

Sshhhh... don't speak the true reason.... hehe. Of course that is what really happened. No disrespect to Bioware. But this will always happen when a large number of authors work on the same project via different mediams no less. At least it was on something like this, and not suddenly Quarians eating steak or something. That said, question what will be the patch story to address the faux-pas.

Haha just to show how much of a bad ass he really is. He can hold a gun upside down and still do work with it. He likes to show off.

Zaeed can duel wield those mutharucking rifles if he really wants to... Clearly you hadn't gained his loyalty at that time.

I just posted this to another thread, and felt it should also be posted here as an analysis of Zaeed as a character and person. I am EXTREMELY tired, so coherency is not guaranteed!

The argument was that doing the Paragon path on his loyalty mission should prevent you from gaining his loyalty no matter what, and that he "loves you" after it.

Disclaimer: I am not attacking the OP of the other thread, they seem cool, I just felt my opinion should also be in this thread :)

Here goes:

Zaeed is 10 kinds of win and I wanted to coment on your comments on him OP.

You say that he "loves you" after you screw him regarding Vido, but I never got that vibe. Thing is, you need PRETTY HIGH paragon points to use the blue option there, and that blue option is the only way to keep his loyalty if you save the workers.

Contrary to what a lot of people say, Zaeed is a character with a lot of dimension and depth. He has layers. He isn't just some hardened badass killer. Take him on Jack's loyalty mission to Pragia, he has some insightful lines. He gets paranoid and creeped out on the derelict reaper, etcetera.

By choosing the blue option at the end there, you are forcing him to see what he's done. He's gone on a rage-a-holic revenge bent spree... WITHOUT consulting and coordinating with his team.. and it COST him the revenge he has been wanting for so long. You are showing him, that by acting like that, ignoring his team and ignoring all those refinery workers, Vido is gone, and he's pinned to the ground under a hunk of metal.

It's HIS FAULT. He SCREWED UP. and he realizes this. Concedes. Humbled. And accepts your command. He isn't giving up on Vido, but he did learn a valuable, if not costly lesson, one which he is humble enough to accept.

That's interesting.

Can someone help me here? The mass effect wikia says you don't need a high paragon score to keep his loyalty, but I have the bar almost full and I can't choose the paragon dialogue at the end of the mission. Seriously, I don't get the karma meter in this game. The bars are like 85% paragon and 60% renegade (rough estimate). Whyyyy? :(

That's weird... I do him at the start, and at 1 bar he is doable. Not sure what's wrong though... or why you can't.

FROM WHAT I AM TOLD: If you are on high difficulty (Insanity?) or a new game+, requirements skyrocket. In the case of new game+, it's not intended.
