Doing my 3rd playthrough and I've just got control of Normandy. I am heading to Omega to pick up Zaeed, The doc and Garrus.

I am planning on going pure (Or almost pure) Paragon, but that also means I can't agree with Zaeed on his loyalty mission. I want to save the workers, and doing so will allow his target to escape.

Now. I wonder if that will cause someone to die in the suicide mission or not? What if I upgrade the entire ship as well as all the weapons, gets the loyalty from everyone else and keep zaeed in my team in the end mission. Will everyone survive then? Assuming I use the right member for the right parts.

Zaeed isn't good at commanding a group, no tech and no biotic, so he isn't given any big roles.

Anyone know if it is possible to keep everyone alive and not have Zaeed being loyal, or are there another way to get him loyal and still save the workers? I heard of someone getting a glitch that got him loyal, even if they didnt let the workers die

Very simple. Just save his loyalty mission until you have a high Paragon level and you will still be able to gain his loyalty. I don't remember the exact dialogue options, he pulled a gun on me, I had to save him from the steel girder that landed on him and then I convinced him somehow (with a paragon option I believe) that the people and mission came before revenge. He was loyal after that.

If you go Paragon route, at the very, very end of the mission, he will be pinned under a girder. The Charm (blue) option is, in not so many words, a declaration that while he has right to want revenge, he's made a complete tool of himself.



Zaeed is man enough to humbly concede and becomes loyal.

I found Zaeed to be one of the most "realistic" characters.

I'm not too sure why, and I can also see why many would dislike how he was handled but I still found him to be quite an enjoyable character, way better than Miranda or Jacob.

Zaeed is a man's man. He is a merc through and through. He has no real alliegences and gets the job done. He is not good or evil, or even pretends to be one or the other. He got hired to do this job and he will do it. In case of the Paragon resolution, understand he is not part of a team that watches out for itself and not some solo up. Acknowledges he use to the solo ones. Shepard makes him see it is different now.

He is a no nonesense kind of guy basically.

You know, I'm replaying DA:o again and I'm trying to make my human look like Zaeed, it's not working well BUT, it seems we can have the same voice actor for our character, check the "experienced" voice ;-)

On the issue of Zaeed and dialogue:



Having a dialogue option doesn't necessarily have to mean Shepard getting all touchy-feely with his squadmates. Look at how they handled Wrex and Grunt: both just shared stories with Shepard more or less. Besides, it'd be awesome to have different options to get a story out of Zaeed.



And Zaeed is definitely a bro when it comes to missions. I've used him the most times out of my entire squad roster, oftentimes with Garrus (since they share the same weapons loadout + Concussive Shot).

I've been doing the sniper runs on my Soldier playthrough and now that I've picked up the viper it's a freakin' bloodbath. And Concussive Shot (upgraded to Blast) is just so much damned fun.

I think it would have been a cool concept for Zaeed if he would only talk to you in a dialog tree if Sheppard was high enough Renegade, and let Zaeed kill Vido.  Then his character would have really come off as the Merc for Hire, not interested in conversing with anyone, and only there to get the job done - however with Sheppard gaining his trust, Zaeed begins to bond with the like minded sheppard, and thus they form a friendship out of comradery. 

If the above were true, then every sheppard I make would be renegade to the core.

Useful skills, interesting experienced character, definitely, I like him. You see, this is how you write male characters. Stop the Kaidan-Jacob nonsense. Just saying Zaeed would have been a better "romance" than any of those two. (I know I don't represent the majority of female players, but I don't care. Zaeed is great.)

I'm in the middle of a Soldier run and I'm using a sniper team to get the job done.  Zaeed is my goto guy, best support  money can buy.  I put all his points in Conc. Shot, Mercenary Vet, and Inferno Grenade.  I skipped over Disruptor ammo because I decided I'd make that a squad skill.  I'm about to get Thane and then I'll have all the power I'll need to dominate!

I went with the Revenant for weapons load out, and I think its a great fit for my style of play.  Ive developed a good system of using the Viper (w/ squad on sniper duty) to clear out a room, or clear out a bunch of guys.  Then charge in to get close with the Revenant and mop everyone else up.  So far its working really well on Hardcore, haven't done it on insanity.

It's on Mordin's loyalty mission. "You talk to much", says Shep and krogans freaking burn!

This is an awesome thread for an awesome character. I only lament not being able to repair Jessie for him so he fire her atleast one last time.

Everytime I enter his quarters and Zaeed says "I'm waxing goddamn notsalgia." I am reminded why he is a permanent addition to my squad.
