Zaeed is so much fun to have around. His cocky comments during missions always make me smile. I'm currently playing with a Zaeed/Grunt combo and I'm having a splendid time!

That's exactly what I'm doing! 

Grunt doesn't have much to say, but what he does say is great. He gives Zaeed a chance to really shine and speak up more often. Their banter fits REALLY well together. LOL at the burning bodies in Mordin's recruitment.

My favorite thing about Zaeed is how he says 'goddam'. It makes me :3 every time.



I so wish we could have Shepard interactions. I just want to sit cross-legged and nod excitedly as grandpa Zaeed tells about his sexual conquests and killing scumbags. Kind of like Jolee's stories - but with VIOLENCE!

I used him a little bit on my first playthrough, but he's really coming into his own on the second. He might lack fully developed on-ship conversation, but the amount he comments off-ship more than makes up for it. I mean the amount of dialogue he has considering he's DLC still surprises me, but maybe I had low expectations going into it, despite Shale's awesomeness in DAO.



I support the Jolee comparison as well.

He actually has a LOT to say even on the ship. you don't get a conversation wheel, but he actually has more dialogue than some of the other squadmates.



For instance, he is the only one who has mission-specific comments for most missions in the game if you go and talk to him afterwards. He will talk about Horizon, the Collector Ship, Jack, Garrus, etcetera.

Heh.. Bioware DLC characters are the best. First Shale my all time favorite companion, and now Zaeed, who is also my all time favorite companion.

I just though. Many people think Zaeed won't be coming back. They are short sighted.

Zaeed has small fanbase? So what?

1st, he is type of character, that doesn't need it. He is self sufficient guy both in-game and as a digital entity. Other characters look like they need Shepard to wipe their arses. Zaeed doesn't.

No one expects any "character development" of him, not even his fans. Just a few more stories, a few spicy comments on missions. That's it. And he is damn good in the field! So chances are high he comes back as DLC again.

Jack, BTW might end up like this too. BioWare simply cannot f*ck up with these characters, unless they try too hard to "improve" them.

On the contrary, the popular characters are a great challenge to continue in the sequel. There are so many undersets and shallow places. I kinda wish to witness the "WTF, BioWare?!" outcry when (and if) they reveal Tali's face.

Zaeed is the definition of Hardened. Any more development (like we see in DA and other ME 2 characters) would actually be a disservice to his character. Can he be wrong sometimes? Sure. Is he going to change his overall outlook because of a mistake. No. He's been through too much to be that easily manipulated/influenced.

As I said on another thread, the only thing keeping Ol' Man Zaeed from coming back for ME3 is Shepard paying his fee... which shouldn't be a problem on a Spectre's budget!

What Spectre budget? Mordin even jokes, saying STG and Spectres are similar, but STG is actually funded and they didn't have to buy their own weapons lol.

Zaeed doesn't need 'character development'. He isn't some playdough that changes his outlook beause some kid commander tells him to. While this might work with other characters such as Garrus it doesn't suit Zaeed at all. Love him or hate him he is who he is and that is a bloody goddam motherf*cking badass with a heart.

They could even draw a series of comics called "ME: Zaeed's Stories". Never happens with another chracter.

Seriously, would it be so out of place!? A humorous line or something! Considering how femShep acts in Jacob's romance, would it be so out of place to have her compliment Zaeed? Even in a "are you joking or are you serious" way? Think about what they wrote for Samara, in the end. I think that was a intelligent move on their part. Having even one line like that with Zaeed would be easy to write, and AWESOME for his fans.

Just sayin'. Hey, Zaeed's creators and writers have the right to know how much we love their character.
