Zaeed died on my renegade playthrough, which is a damn shame because I felt like renegade shepard got along with Zaeed the best.

ONLY after having 4 billion credits poured into the lazarus project.  If ZAEED had of been ejected from the normandy SR1 he would have willed oxygen to stay in his suit...then he would have Inferno Grenade'd the Collector Ship to oblivion!

Not on his own...Cerberus had to rebuild home. Shepard did nothing.  But this is not a Shepard hate thread...we all love Sheppy!

Zaeed's one of my favourite characters, both for his utility in combat (gets assault rifles, good against armour, shields, and barriers), and for his personality. I really enjoy his war stories, and his evaluations of the other squad members. Personally, I can see him sticking with Shepard after the smoke has cleared. He seems like the archetypal soldier-of-fortune, but he has a certain forthrightness (if no nobility) that seems to have been stifled in mercenary work. I think he wants to do something more meaningful with his remaining years.

Zaeed would be my first pick for returning character.  He's just such a great match up with a Renegade play style.  I can always depend on him to back me up when it comes down to doing things the hard way.

What!!! How the hell you let that happen. Even on my paragon Shep I killed him. If someone tried to execute my ass like that you bet I would do same as Zaeed. Easy decision to kill Vido, plus he was a scumbag anyway. You see that pile of dead workers as soon as you land.

He's right.  Just think of how many more are going to die now that he got away.  Even when Zaeed's "wrong" he's actually right. 

I know, I tried explaining that once. Since everyone hates Zaeed and its all "O my gosh lets save like 10 workers". Then Vido goes off and kills even more people. I hope in 3 Vido kills their LI.
