Zaeed is my favourite squadmate in ME2! I could write a wall of text about why I like him, but let me just say that he's the Han Solo of Mass Effect.

I think it's his photorealistic face and cool British voice (great job by Robin Sachs) that makes him a very believable character who just grabs you from the moment you meet him.

Someone mentioned jokingly earlier that Zaeed was shepard's dad (assuming Spacer origin... but it could actually work with all 3).

That would be very interesting/hilarious to see actually; Mordin doing some random tests on the squaddies, finding out they're related in the process.

YES, it really sucked though with the one ending because I was hoping that choosing that one specific path would avoid what eventually did happen :(

Zaeed is awesome enough that he can simultaneously infiltrate through the vents, lead both fireteams, escort the crew back to the Normandy, hold the line alone while simultaneously blowing up and saving the collector base, and survive while not getting anyone killed

That's just when he's not loyal.

If you complete a game of Mass Effect 2 with Zaeed loyal, you will be unable to import your save into Mass Effect 3 because the reapers have already lost.

Or that's how it should have been, anyway.

People who came away thinking Zaeed was shallow missed out. He comments a lot during missions and a lot after missions if you stop to chat with him. He just doesn't have a lame conversation wheel where you can make him issue the same stupid lines over and over and over again.

I took him on Jack's loyalty mission and the hardass almost chokes up thinking of all those kids being tortured. He even stops to give Joker props for saving the ship near the end. I thought they outdid a lot of the standard characters with Zaeed.

I am sad that he will probably be given no cred in ME3. He's just a DLC. /cry

Zaeed is a great character. And he actually MAKES SENSE as someone to bring with you on a suicide mission. Easily one of the most, if not the most, plot-friendly characters.

Indeed, having someone well versed in a variety of combat scenarios and importantly can keep himself alive better than the rest just makes sense for the type of mission Shepard was on.

The only people who hate on Zaeed are self righteous ****** that would never make good special forces operatives in real life.

Well said.  Let's hope in ME3 he gets conversation wheels and gets to stick around.  I always feel like he's got my back in combat, and he's his own person without 'needing' Shepard.

Guys !!! i want to tell you something really funny !!! hahaha

I really like Zaeed and in a time he told me about a story with a rookie that he had with him

on a mission he run - and the rookie puking inside his helmet from fear

cause he thought he was shot in the head

And in the end of his sentence he told me that this rookie is the new alliance governor now

In my playthrough Citadel is dead and i make Counsillor the general Anderson

So he means Anderson ??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AMAZING LOOOL :o:O:O

Whilst I cannot stand Zaeed, the writing behind him is genius.

They really did there homework on loud mouth soldiers. Sure they can kill a man with sharp stare, but don't yack on about it to me. So whilst I think the guy is a complete tool. The writing for his character is top notch.

I don't think he's a loudmouth. I think he's just a guy who just remembers all his past missions fondly. He revels in the chaos. That doesn't make him a "complete tool." It makes him a badass.

On the topic of writing, I think it would have been so awesome to see his character being fleshed out more in an actual dialogue (as in an extended back-and-forth between him and another character). But alas. At least we have his stories and his witty comments during missions.
