Retroplayer- How do you want Mass Effect to be remembered?
Robin Sachs (Zaeed)- As the lead-in to the Zaeed Massani series of DVD’s -- and the feature film spin-off and long-running TV series!

Robin Sachs is the obvious answer, but for some unimaginable reason he is unavailable... I'll put my bet on:

Philip Glenister

So I've read a pretty plausible/good theory that Zaeed may be a bit suicidal and it may be one of the reasons he took the job with Shepard in the first place.

I believe it. He seems to have utter disregard for his own safety (which is part of his charm, I think) and anyone who read his dossier on the Shadow Broker's ship could possibly see how someone could think that.

However as awesome and badass as Zaeed is, he is not as badass as Shepard. Shepard totally came back from the dead, and true, it was Project Lazarus that did that. But let's all be honest...OK Project Lazarus brought Shepard back in 2 years...big deal. Without Cerberus, Shepard would have still come back from the dead. Just would've taken an extra oh, 3 or 4 months.
I also like that one line Shepard gives Zaeed. "You're a badass Zaeed, but don't forget who you're talking to." (which oddly does not give you Zaeed's loyalty even though I think it should)
But still, Zaeed is all kinds of awesome, no doubt.

Actually, his dossier in Lair of the Shadow Broker pretty much paints him as suicidal. He doesn't like the idea of retirement one bit.mrsph wrote...

He didn't seem suicidal in the sense we usually talk about being suicidal. He didn't strike me as being suicidal in the sense that he was so depressed or hopeless.
To me it struck me as being slightly more philosophical. His SB Dossier reminded me a bit of Dutch's death from Read Dead Redemption:
The Death of Dutch van der Linde -- spoiler warning for RDR
Zaeed has basically, through his own actions/attitudes, been reduced down to his most basic essence: the badass grandpa. So when you take the psycopathic geriatric out of his element, i.e. combat, and put him in a completely foreign environment, i.e. the retirement community pool/shuffleboard court, then the situation looks bleak. He literally has as much purpose attending Wednesday night bingo as any other silverback gorilla would. As more evidence of this, Zaeed weighs his retirment options based on the probability of getting killed at the location.
Instead, Zaeed contemplates a more appropriate warrior retirement -- death while taking a bunch of Enemies out with him.
My two cents.

So if Zaeed were to have his own feature film and TV series? Who would play him?

Phil Glenister (or at least the character he played on TV) certainly embodies the Zaeed ethos. He's got my vote.

Still, nobody asks of you to explain yourself when you (in general terms) compliment the character with a short sentence. That somehow leads to Mr. Norris quite often. (And that´s a man I never could look at with a straight face, but that´s just me.)
But this being a Zaeed-support thread and all..heh.
Gramps (40? 40? No can believe) seems to get all the nods for his badassery - but when all we´re given are his mercstories and no more, there´s not a lot to sink your teeth into in a long run .
At least fix the goddamn rifle for him.
A humorous mental spin off there somewhere: a lone merc, searching for a cure for his beloved Jessie, killing through the galaxy and facing difficult moral dilemmas - wait, no. Killing through the galaxy to find the one person worth not killing - a nerdy self-educated yet ingenious basement-geek (sticking with the familiar stereotypes for the sake of narrative purity). The end? Who knows. "I was the only one who made it out".
Sorry. Couldn´t help myself there=]

YES. Zaeed needs his rifle fixed. The one thing lacking in his character was his beloved rifle. I was bitterly disappointed when I couldn't get the option to fix or upgrade it.Hela wrote...

"Zaeed, you have any upgrade ideas we could do to prepare for the collectors?"
"Fix my god'amn rifle!"
*Fix rifle: Cost 5,000,000 Iridium*
As for the galaxy travelling looking for a giant nerd.... The first thing that came into my mind was Die Hard 4.
