Anyways, his hockey helmet does not connect to it (just got a side mission where he's got it on). One idea I had was some sort of bullet that stuck there that he never removed (though bullet looks more like it's on it's way out then in, with the detail on it...provided it is a bullet...I know they have bullets still, but dunno what they look like). Regardless, just goes to show the nice detail the nice developers put into the character

He is one of the two ONLY characters that I consider to be a "Possible Shepard Alternative", someone with the skills, background and talent to do Shepard's job, assuming he was not the spectre. The only other one with that gift is Garrus Vakarian (and we all know that he is extremely badass).
the guy made his own mercenary company at the age of 18. Holy crap. Even if he lost it, he survived a bullet to the head, and became the best gun for hire in the galaxy. I am actually considering playing through again, and giving him Vido's head... a group of spineless refinary workers are not worth saving next to the leader of the blue suns.

Indeed, BioWare put a lot of work into all the characters, even DLC characters like Zaeed. And that's one more reason I have faith that BioWare will put him in ME3. They have proven, time and again, that they are willing to go the extra mile.
Yep, really looking forward to ME3 so I can see more of my fav bounty hunter
Quick edit: After further testing, I got it down to just Zaeed and Mordin surviving (with Legion sold to Cerberus...my evil character wanted the credits, lol). So I might get Legion back at the start of ME3, but for now, it's just me, Zaeed, and Mordin :-p

I like Zaeed better then most of the other
characters, even if his dialogue is somewhat stunted when your on the
ship (I suggest you take him to recruit archangel, you will get lots of
dialogue). In fact, any time I go up against blue suns, i take Zaeed.

The first time I met Zaeed, I knew he was gonna end up my favorite character. Really liked him straight away. And yeah, I had to point out the extra Archangel mission dialogue to a friend ("Yep, I'll be hitting that on my next playthrough." ;-) ). Also, when I brought Zaeed with me to fight the Shadow Broker, the comment I made in regards to what the broker said was, "Over my dead body." (really wish I could have actually said that, lol)
The only prob with Zaeed is that while he could do Shep's job in terms of killing everything, he's not a good leader (seems odd with his past, but just go ahead and try making him a fireteam leader
Oh and first time through the game, while I was a bit of a mix of both sides, I maxed paragon, yet I still helped Zaeed kill Vido. Good character or not, Vido had to die (which my Shep on that playthrough also let the Council die, as I felt the galaxy was more important than them, so not a huge stretch that I let the workers die I guess). In fact, I have yet to do a playthrough where I let Vido live (I really don't want to see him in ME3, lol, but my gal paragon playthrough probably will end up with him alive... >_> ).
Well, before I write a book, I will say that I love fighting Suns as much as Zaeed probably does. Good times ;-)

And here's a pic I took on the PC version over the weekend. Pretty neat action Zaeed shot (just ignore Jacob in the background...he was there on purpose):

Will fix board code if I messed that up, but anyway, I knew I wanted a shot from there and while cruising through that part, I waited and hit the button, hoping for a good outcome. Was not disappointed

I like the first one better, though. Almost out of things to do on that playthrough, so when I start a new save, I'll have FRAPS running so I can get more screenies

I never finished either KOTOR game (not a huge Star Wars fan), but the games were pretty neat (the first one more so than the second one, though I got the big twist in that game spoiled for me long ago
And def would love to have Zaeed at my side in ME3 again (currently in the progress of recruiting the last characters I need to bring, while killing off my crew in my bad save). I've heard that on Twitter, someone asked a gal associated with Bioware (Christie?) if they'd have a hard time starting ME3 if they only saved Zaeed and Kasumi and the answer was yes. Curious if it's just because you have two squad mates or what that meant exactly (hopefully not that we don't get Zaeed at our side again...would be very disappointed).
And Canderous I liked (his voice actor is awesome). Carth got on my nerves, so everytime Kaiden opens his mouth, I just want him to shut it again (I ditched him out of my party the second I got Garrus and then dropped Ash when I got Wrex...not fond of those two humans...played ME2 first). And that one gal...Bastilla? The Jedi chick in KOTOR 1...she got a little preachy for my liking (great voice actress though :-p ).
Anyways, back on topic, out of curiosity, does anyone know if Zaeed was actually in the Skyllian Blitz or if he was just using it as a reference for how many kills Jessie has?

Zaeed was an awesome character, and I hope that they give him some actual conversations, I enjoyed his little things he had to say, I just hope that they go a little more in depth with him and Kasumi in Mass effect 3.
I hope that as well and that they both become romance options in ME3. Zaeed would be the ideal mate for my paragade ruthless femshep.

I've been keeping my FemShep's single for this reason :-p Especially my renegade ones (but my good Shep's like the bad guys/girls...my paragon maleShep is dating Jack :-p ).
Oh and since I'm thinking about, does anyone happen to know where Zaeed was born? I know he's from the Sol system (his birth should predate the discovery of the Mass Relays, if he was indeed shot in the head in 2165 and is actually 40 or older, meaning he's an odds-on favorite for being born in Sol). Beyond the system, I haven't the slightest clue as to where he was born.

Was Zaeed still part of the Alliance during the Blitz? There is a chance that he could have been deployed there during the attack. Or he may have just been a part of the "cleanup" crew, sent out to hunt the remaining Batarians. Maybe that's how he became a Bounty Hunter!Spruebox wrote...

I've not seen any info on when he joined the Alliance (I would figure after the Suns?) or how long he was with them, but that is a possibility

Ah, Zaeed's birthplace. I have a theory
about that. Like you said, he's from Sol. I also think he's from Earth,
specifically India. His name and appearance show that he may be from
that neck of the woods, and he has a British accent. British accents are
rather common in India since Britain ruled the place until Gandhi and
his peaceful protests. These all point to Zaeed being from India, though
for all we know he could be from Djibouti, or Canada, or Pluto, or
Mars, or anywhere in the solar system. I think he's at least got some
Indian ancestry though.
Interesting, as I got the feeling he was possibly Earthborn based on his comment while on the Collector ship (just the way he made the "going after Earth" comment).
I wasn't sure where on Earth he could be from (if that's where he's from), but his first name is Arabic (Zayd is the original Arabic, but Zaeed is another way it's written). Incidentally, his first name means "to increase". Massani is Italian in origin (except for one, those surname search sites are total fail with this particular name...and before that, if not for Pompeo Massani, I'd of thought they made the name up).
India is an interesting idea. I could see the rare Italian getting there (looking on Linked In, there is actually a Massani in India, lol). Gives him even more of an exotic flare (though I wonder how long he lived on Earth, as he would have been 3 when the relay was discovered and he got into space somehow...guess maybe it depends on how the First Contact war went? don't know much about that period of ME history...will have to look that up later, as I'm long overdue to play ME2 today, lol).

One of the most common bedlams raised about Zaeed is his supossed paucity of real loyalty. However, if lazy asses actually took the time to converse with Zaeed after every mission, they would notice him growing out of that mercenary attitude and developing one resembling not a soldier's, but a warrior's. By the ending of Mass Effect 2, it is clear that he is fighting for something more than material gain.
In that respect, he reminds me of Canderous from Kotor 1 and 2...nostalgia*
