Awesome. How did you get two Zaeeds?

Modded my Shepard to look like Zaeed using coalesced.ini on the PC version.  Got the info from the modding thread in this forum (from the ever awesome phoenixofthunder :) ).  Was really worth the time it took to get it working :)

Edit: Specifically, used this post, this post that has the DLC character codes, and then at the top has the code i got to work for Zaeed's head.

Just remember for this:

-You need Notepad++ to edit coalesced.ini (which is under BioGame--->Config--->PC--->Cooked in your ME2 directory)  I did a Google search and that's how I got it.  It's free.

-You also need ME2INIFixer.  Run as admin on Vista for it to work after you've edited the ini (dunno about Win7 Admin, but maybe the same?).  Regardless, though, sometimes ME2 will crash the first time after you edited the file.  Just reload game and should be fine.

-On Zaeed's codes, you need to replace ID=# with an actual number.  Needs to be higher than anything already in your ini file.  I used 7 for Zaeed and 6 for the N7 codes you have to include.  Also, I changed his keybinding to NumPadFive because Q is annoying (you have to bind the person you want to load to a key to load them before they'll work in the mobile locker).

And with that, please direct further questions to the Modding is Possible III thread so we don't clutter this one up :)

Anyways, I also like listening to him talk about Jessie.  He really loved that ol' mean gun :-)  And I like how they made her look like crap sitting there on that table.  Really does wish someone on the team would swipe her and fix her for him :)  Would tick him off until he saw they fixed her :)

Also, I dunno if anyone's ever seen this, but I found this on Giant Bomb:

Zaeed concept art

Thought that was pretty cool :)

I highly doubt he'll comb back as a squadmate in ME3, just because of his mercenary status. Unless you can buy him off?

I don't know what canon they'll go with either. So if you sided with Cerberus maybe?

Either way not having him is a sad-face.

Seeing that he and Kasumi are DLC... They probably won't be a squaddie at all. Maybe a short cameo where it shows them and Shep shake hands and than part ways.

Zaeed: Finally some gudamn peace and quiet. No more mercs and bloody suicide missions.

*Blinding flash reduces the entire surface to dust*

Even though I really like the character, I have this sinking feeling that is what is gonna happen.  I'll still play the game regardless, as I've gotten to like some of the other characters (like Jack and I'd imagine Legion would be back as a squad mate...Liara is kinda neat, too, but she'll probably be too busy to come hang with you, though maybe if you did SB, you can still hang with her in ME3).

And I love your idea for Zaeed's "retirement vacation."  Seems like that is exactly how it would go down, with the way his life has gone :)

Try this:

*Reaper ship appears and fires its main gun*

Zaeed: Well that's not good.

*blinding flash of light, Zaeed stares around his unharmed self at the scorched world*

Zaeed: Oh now you done it. *pulls out a repaired Jessie* Prepare to die you overgrown toasters!

:o

If they should include Zaeed as a squaddie in ME3 (make it required to have a ME2 save imported w/Cerberus DLC activated to get him if that's an issue...), I'd like to see him given a sidequest to let us help him fix Jessie.  She is so awesome that she deserves one last ride with Zaeed against the Reaper menace :)

Oh and finished my PS3 sentinel playthrough.  Pardon the quality, as I don't feel like hooking up the computer that has my capture card on it (I don't think this new one even has a PCI slot, not that it would matter with the power supply being so tiny).

Grunt and Zaeed are my only available squaddies.  For crew, I have Joker, EDI, and Chakwas.  Sold Legion to Cerberus for the credits.  Not the worst possible playthrough you can have, but I'm still not gonna have an easy time in ME3.  Should be fun to see what happens!  I'm curious how the Collector Base will pan out, too (saved it, so I'm still buddy buddy with TIM...maybe he'll buy me a new crew/squad, lol).

Anyways, better stop rambling before I write a book!

Zaeed died in my save. Thought he could lead a group against a couple hundred collectors. I was wrong. Nonetheless I felt like he was who I wanted my Shepard to be if the Reapers hadn't attacked.

I made that mistake my first time through, Swim.  Problem was there was only two characters I was really attached to at that point: him and Jack.  I restarted from a save two hours prior just so I could save him.  Ended up saving everyone that time (I'd had some other deaths...like "oh hey, Jacob said he wants to do the vents...let's let him!" and Kasumi got vaporized on the Normandy because I didn't actually understand how the ship upgrades worked, not to mention I didn't even realize I had hers).  I really did not want to continue on a save where the starboard cargo area was empty :(

You know I've been yhinkig. For some odd reason I can't seem to shake the image of Zaeed having a pet Rachni. It just seems the kind of thing he would have.

I would definitely enjoy some Zaeed in ME3. I don't think there's any hope of him as a squadmate, but a cameo would be good.

Oh there´s always hope. It´s an unkillable trait in humans:D
And I´m curious about the effects of your party makeup affecting the outcome of ME3. Makes me think what bloody outcome would it be if Zaeed indeed was a party member. Plus Jack. A nomadic band of renegades keeping the galaxy on toes, for the right price and overall mayhem...heh.

And here I have been thinking about a pet varren... Be it Urz  (a quick "Urz for ME3!" support) or any other space-dog. But a pet Rachni would no doubt serve Zaeed´s image better. It only poses a question of how to get the acid stains off the rug=]

Quite simply. You beat the crap out of the nearest rug salesman until he gives you/ develops a acid resistant rug. Then you threaten him with the promise that if it doesn't work you'll be back to torch his shop.

New (leaked) ME3 details show that Garrus is a confirmed squadmate! If he can be in the squad, that means the whole "could die in the Suicide Mission" problem is a non-issue! One more point for Zaeed in ME3!

But he is still optional DLC, which worries me the most. For the first time I'm hoping Bioware pull a "Cerberus Daily Network" (It'll probably be named differently, "Alliance Daily Network" maybe), that adds Zaeed and Kasumi back into the squad. It's a cheap move on their part but it's our only chance to see Zaeed again. It's probably asking too much for Bioware to simply add them back in no strings attached.
Shame really.

Well, though that problem still remains, at least another problem is gone. Also, the "he's DLC" problem is dealt a harsh blow with this leaked info, as it appears ME3's story relies heavily on Arrival towards the beginning, and Arrival was also optional DLC.

If anything, he could always be DLC again. I'd certainly pay for him.

I want Zaeed in my squad in ME3, but I've been trying to keep from getting my hopes up too much. Z is a great character and even though I've heard his stories loads of times, I still make trips down to Engineering just to talk to him.

I wouldn't mind if he were DLC free with every new copy in ME3, though. Not that I need incentive to get the game new, but Z would be a nice bonus :)

If the story and ultimately the outcome of the game are really dependant on the chosen party members/factions, one could assume that more characters would be available for recruiting without it getting too crowded. Choose one or the other. ****** someone off and they´ll leave (yes, I´m strongly in the DAO mood).
That is, if the endings are to be that much different from each other, if the game has massive...ish content.

Or it could be me being desperately optimistic :) I´d finally be content even for just slapping Zaeed on the shoulder, going "Well, old boy, one more round at the Afterlife and then meet me at the celebration drinks. Possibly in hell". Heh.
