Yes, I acutally do think Zaeed is a great character, and he's always a part of my Squad for the missions that require an aggressive stance, or ones that take place on Omega. It's sad, but the first time I saw Zaeed the first thing that popped in my head was, "Old Man Boba Fett." And, given the fact that I'm an insane Star Wars fan, it was almost impossible to NOT have him in my Squad.
OMG, now he needs a jetpack and a flame thrower... He does kinda look likeThe Fett Man though.

Also there's no real conversation with him, because when Zaeed talks, Shepard must be quiet.

There should have been a romance sub plot between Zaeed and his '****ty old rifle'.
...there wasn't?

(Second play-through begins. Read on this forum how to get his loyalty without letting civilians burn.)
Second play through: First character to give Shepard his loyalty. Kicks much a** too.
"D***. What did I ever do without this guy?"

But, I love him. I think he's developed wonderfully. I don't need a dialog tree to understand where he's coming from. His loyalty mission says oodles about him. In fact, I think that's the most defining loyalty mission in the game, probably because it goes bad and the mission as described isn't really what's going on.
I didn't take him on many missions, but I've got a few more playthroughs, and I'll give him a shot.

Well I think character development-wise I'd rather let Vido go. Who knows what loose end could be tied up in ME3?Yantze wrote...

Was named Vido Santiago. That clown is long gone.
Hahaha, I was to much of a pansy and let him go, damn workers needed to be saved.
What!!! How the hell you let that happen. Even on my paragon Shep I killed him. If someone tried to execute my ass like that you bet I would do same as Zaeed. Easy decision to kill Vido, plus he was a scumbag anyway. You see that pile of dead workers as soon as you land.
Not to mention the sense of friendship you get when Zaeed sets his GOAL IN LIFE aside to aid you on a mission - I'd never forget what he did for me. And That's to make sure no one ever says again that Zaeed's a heartless a-hole. Because he never would've done that if he didn't have a heart of gold beneath that rough exterior.

Um, I am one of those weird ppl but Zaeed is BY FAR my favorite squad mate. Zaeed's not afriad to speak his mind and how he feels about things, that's COMMUNICATION right there. He may be rough, but he's certainly not cold. He scratches his friends' back and he's not a redneck. So even though he might consider my paragon and closeted gay Shepard a pansy, that doesn't mean he couldn't be friends with him. He's a Texan democrat who likes women and gays is what I'm trying to say.LuckyIronAxe wrote...

Do people hate Zaeed? I can't see why he is damn cool. I just wish you got more dialogue with him. How can you not like that voice? They better expand that pay roll and flesh the man out in ME3.
Those werid people who care about "feelings" and "communication" hate Zaeed. Me personally Godam love the guy! Vido Santiago, hahahahaha, classic.
Hell, I'd have my gay Shepard romance him in a heartbeat.
