Did you get the patch? Where is your character currently located in the game?

Having somewhat similar problems in Ostragar. Can't even get through the area without the game crashing

I have a Geforce 8800GTS 640 and I'm having some issues as well. I first crashed after the mission briefing while still in Ostragar, second in the area leading up too the tower, and third after dying on the first floor of the tower, and I haven't played since then (thats a whole like 40 minutes ago). I had really bad performance in the area out side of the tower too. It was really slow, but occasionally it would return to normal speed for awhile before slowing down again. Thats the only area I've had that problem in so far, even the inside of the tower was fine. The first two crashes were before the 1.01 patch and the third was after it. I'm currently running the 190.62 drivers, but I'm about to install the 191.07. I'll post if that changes anything.
Assuming Shenordak also has a Geforce 8800GTS, I guess that has something to do with it.

8800s, 9800s, several M-series cards and 3870 series from ATI are all experiencing problems in Ostragar... most appear to be driver-related and the 9.9 Catalyst for ATIs are apparently very bad. For myself, I have an older Radeon X1650 Pro running Catalyst 9.3 and it works better than expected.
