What I want to know is why the engineering deck? You have to rooms with beds, is it because of edi? Wouldn't the floor of the deck be like a cheese grater on sheppards back? And when he set her on the table or console wouldnt she have pressed some buttons? Over all I thought it was great just want to know why the engineering deck.

No Mirandas love seen is after you complete the game. After you defeat the human reaper and your back on the normandy, talk to her again, you'll flirt with her. I think you have to go to cic or the second floor on the normandy to start the love sceen. She has a little more to say after that to.
Well that leaves me with some hope, but there's almost nothing left to complete. I got all my dossiers umm... would the flirting unlock if I kept looking for more side missions? I wanted to keep this as my save game for ME3 and have Miranda as my romance.

Well, I managed to calm both parties down in the fight. Romanced Jack on my first play through and then (out of boredom actually) moved on with the other romances in post game. Had Miranda's love scene, Tali's love scene, all on same character on first play through.
What missions did you do after the game?

I just kept Miranda on the 'I want you all to myself', responding that I couldn't make that commitment or something, doing the same to Tali. Completed the Jack romance, had the romance scene before Omega 4 and after surviving (everyone survived) the mission, I told Jack she was taking too long, commited myself to Miranda, triggering the romance scene, then ended that relationship and went to see Tali, convincing her and triggering her romance scene.
Might import this save for fun, but this was more about seeing if it was possible. (my 'official' Shep will stay committed to Jack)

no the only side mission that unlocks the flirting would be her loyality quest. Also upgrading your class all the way will unlock all of the diolague options. Say you are an engineer. upgrading that will unlock the extreme paragon or renagade choices.

1. Being with a Sexy Beautiful Woman
Or
2. Being with a bald crazy wack-job of a woman
Let me think about this for a moment........Miranda please!
(P.S. or just play the game through twice! you know you will anyways My first run was 100% Paragon and Miranda and my next will be "100% Badass" and Jack will be my evil lady of Pain!)

So to be clear, I just sided with Jack because despite my Paragon points, I didn't have the option... So once I get more Paragon I can get Miranda back to loyal? And then I can romance her more before the game is over? HOLLAH!
That's what I did. That's what I thought. But nothing happened, Miranda says she's busy all the time.
Maybe I f'ed up because I talked to Jack after that, but then told her "she didn't need Shepard in her head" so now she tells me to f off all the time. So i told Jack no, I told Tali no, I told Samara no, and Miranda isn't talking. Maybe this can be fixed in a patch or something?
Shepard's paragon argument was logical that when he told Miranda to back off, it was only to keep Jack happy because she was a psychotic biotic convict aboard the ship. There's no reason Miranda should still be upset after that.

Obviously she wants all the people looking from the above to understand who is the second in the food chain!

I understand why the engineer deck now. Had the safe sex talk with mordin about miranda on my second playthrough and he said something about "invented uses with mass effect fields." which use element zero and that is what that gas is floating around the engineering deck so I'am led to believe this inhances certain feelings or abilites. Only the best for miranda, indeed. He also told me to watch for bugs...and mentioned use of probes..
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if it is because Jack and Tali are down there and Miranda wants to make sure she "marks" her teritory where they can both witness. She is predatory like that.

Maybe Miranda doesn't want the rest of the ship to see her go to Shepard's quarters so she decides engineering is the best place to stay hidden from everyone. May not be probable but its completely possible
