Okay, first, the patch was created before the game's release (look at the executable's date); second, since you are such a badass e-thug who obviously plays the game on hard or nightmare mode, why do you care? Patch only majorly affects those playing on easy mode and barely affects those on normal mode.Thindor wrote...
Already happened, new patch addresses difficulty.

Speaking of the new patch, just how much easier did it make normal difficulty? I'm playing on normal now,on the PC and am quite enjoying how "hard" it is, I'm not sure if I want to actually patch it.
Yeah, same here. It's not too easy, not for me anyway. But I like it that way. Gives me a better sense of accomplishment when it's a bit challenging
Also wondering here. A few curses, a stop to think, retry again and conquer (or repeat previous steps). While sometimes a bit frustrating, I'm having fun and enjoy the victories. Should I patch?
(which I won't anyway until I'm certain vista64 is working with the patch).
@OP: hehe, thank you

I know. DA needs graphics like Crysis, gameplay like Baldur's Gate, and exploration like the Elder Scrolls. NERD RAGE.
+1. I wish Bioware would advance a bit in that direction, and not just in graphics. Exploration is imo,the most important aspect of a good RPG..
I completely disagree. Story should be the most important aspect of a good RPG. I want to be playing a role playing game, not a world exploration game...(suddenly get's an idea for a really cool 3D Version of Carmen Sandiego gritty reboot

Its also wonderful that with many many posts that actually have substance, the BW community team chooses to respond to trash like this! I acknowledge that many of the complaints on the boards are somewhat silly, but really does bloating them more with this junk help? It's like I am reading the WoW or Diablo forums.
Or any other game forum from the beginning of time...

Well i would like to know how the Fu** you are suppose to spec in this game i am now lvl 11 still have found noone to train me i want to be a ranger. I know the book says find someone or a book to train you but i have stopped paying the damn game trying to find someone to train me. It is just stupid you have to find someone to train you when no one trains you for anything else you do. I dont mind having to train but they could at least have some guys in town that will train you. I mean i was able to spec at lvl 7 but now 11. im about to quit playing. I am not paying 25 dollars for a cheat book. The rate im going i will be done with game before i can spec
The vendors at the camp sell the Ranger training book...

Story should definatly be the most important part of the game but it be bloody awsome if a game could have Dragon age's story/dialogue focus and an open world to explore and adventure in. Sadly that's probably not possible, I still think one of the only few negative aspects of DA is how tightly pathed the world is and how you're always running in to invisible walls.

Wow these types of posts are really productive and do a world of good to free the message boards from clutter. Just what we needed -- good show!
Who died and made you the message board janitor? There's always room for humor on forums IMO and any forum where the mods crush humorous threads with an iron 'off-topic' fist is one that I will not frequent for long. In other words, lighten up.

I think it has to do with time constraints and scripting. Yeah, you could have a huge explorable world. but what I find what is usually lacking is either a strong story, areas that are interesting to explore in the first place, or dynamic scripting. Anyone remember the story of Oblivion being all that memorable? How about driving around Liberty City in GTA IV being really all that interesting? How the bugs...dear god the bugs...in Gothic III?
