No one has mentioned the actual odor coming from the DAO section of the hard drive. Seriously. It smells like feet.

You know, I've found that removing the offending HDD and deeply sousing it in hot soapy water then putting it through the dry cycle of the dishwasher will clear that right up.

You know, Bioware, you shouldn't be to arrogant about this because at least on console the difficulty is way off. I started today and came to the first boss (ogre) and after reading much about this fight and people complaining about taking 10 minutes and kiting-strategies to even scratch him i thought i was in for a decent fight. To my utter surprise he was down in seconds, while one of my NPCs just stood around (i wasn't really paying attention and his AI-settings where messed up). I was playing on normal, so i thought ok, lets try it on hard. Here he killed one of my people but the rest of them took him down just as fast. I mean wtf? After hearing all the horror-storied of how hard this game is, i get this?

Yeah man, they said it was going to be the spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate, but it's totally bogus man. What's this? 3D? Facial animations? I want my washed out mid-90s 2D pixelated barf graphics back!

Where is my spellbook with 100 spells of which I'll use 15 at the most? Talent trees, oh man that is sooo WoW, you sellouts at Bioware, how dare you betray the core D&D fans.

Why are there just 3 classes, I want to play a swashbuckling duelist monk cyberrogue of the Nine with innate +5 to attack initiative dice rolls and a chance to explode when I miss a roll. Way to go cookie cutter Bioware. Where did you get this class system, Halo?

And what is up with this multiple endings crap? You send Irenicus to hell and then dive after him to murder him again, that is the only acceptable ending. But yet DAO is so linear man, unlike BG2 where every dialogue tree had different consequences. You can throw in your lot with Bodhi or the Shadow thieves, but you end up in the Asylum anyway? Man, now that's a branching storyline, something DAO could never touch. If BG was a book I would give it a Pulitzer prize, that's how much I love it.

Boatking you are a champ! :wizard:

Thankyou for the laugh!

Actually I haven't played DA:O yet because it was released right during my exams at uni (BAD UNI BAD) but I have been reading the forums a bit and I must say trolls should be shot on sight

I was expecting another flame when I opened this thread but you gave me a pleasant surprise! :D

I can't wait to play!! But I still have to hold off for another week or so :crying:

Back to work for me!
