Asking for phyx when i have ATI

I just replaced my nvidia card today with a ATI 5870, i went into the config to make sure it read my card but when i try to load the game it says make sure newest version of phyx is installed then goes back to desktop. Am i going to have to uninstall reinstall to fix this?

You need to install PhysX, Mass Effect 2 uses the Unreal engine 3, which uses PhysX for all physics effects. Even if they are calculated on your CPU, you still need the PhysX drivers installed. There should be a PhysX installer on your ME2 DVDs. Otherwise, just download them from nvidia.com.

No. ATI doesn't support hardware accelerated PhysX effects. They have their own physics engine called OpenCL. But it doesn't matter as Mass Effect 2 doesn't use hardware accelerated PhysX effects. It's all on the CPU. No matter if ATI, nVidia or *shudder* Intel videocard.
