I've been using the Eviscerator on my new Vanguard gal, and I certainly like it, but It's hard to gauge it against the other shotguns in-game. Anybody with the PC version able to post some stats?

The Eviscerator does noticeably more damage, has longer range, and better armor penetration. It's very useful.

It is a sex machine.

Just don't point it at anyone you care about.

It's a very nice gun. I stuck with the Claymore for my Vanguard, though. Eviscerator is probably better with the range and what have you, but I found myself fighting like a soldier with it (ducking, popping out to shoot things at range), instead of face rolling like a Vanguard (charging into people, and charging more because I need to to keep my shields up, and blasting faces off).

Will use it on every other character that uses shotties, though.

Generally, the Claymore fires more pellets and does more damage per pellet than the Eviscerator. However, the Eviscerator has a longer range and carries a slightly higher ammo capacity. It is a more general purpose shotgun, whereas the Claymore is about as pure shotgun as you can get. It truly is THE vanguard shotgun: high risk, high reward close-range combat. However, I think the Eviscerator's rate of fire is overrated relative to the Claymore. The latter requires a reload after every shot, yes, but the Eviscerator's rate of fire is quite slow.

I'm more interested in what people think of these two compared to the Scimitar.
