ME2
I made a poll, some time ago here:
http://social.biowar...596/polls/1670/
The majority says ME2
majority of what? 140 people? and probably part of them never played the first ME.
I' m really sorry to say it but ME2 is a bad TPS and a bad RPG with a lame story who royaly mess up with how ended the first game.
I suppose that if I want a good tps I should stick with Army of Two or Gears of War and if I want a good (w)rpg I should stick with DA:O or Fallout 3.
And to think that Bioware co-founder Greg Zeschuk bashed jrpgs for being stagnant...
Smile and nod, smile and nod, this the normal "logic" DarthCain (doesnt that name scream 13 year old?) known for here.
So the guy has a point and you insult him, guess who is looking more like a 13 year old??
ROFLMAO!
What point, that his bias poll of 140 people had the result he gimicked to ensure returned?
Wow, doesnt take much to please some of you
You can't talk about bias, when the 120% of your post are completely and utterly pro bioware even when the original poster DO had a point, at least he had a poll and a valid opinion.
If anyone is questionable here, that's you mein freud.
Sure I can, watch this
Justatroll (thats you) is BIAS against Bioware and just comes here to troll the forums looking for the attention he cant even buy in the real world.
Darth Cain is a pro Bioware junky that count create a balanced arguement if his life depended on it and creates fake polls that no one cares about to try and back up his underinformed positions!
See,not only can I talk about Bias, I can use it in a balanced and realistic manner.
Listen Justatroll, I have no problem calling out Bioware on areas they have underproduced (such as ME2 and DLC), just like when they do good, I beleive they deserve credit and not false whiner (thats you again in case you missed it) shame. KotOR was a great game worthy credit. ME1 was the best RPG ever made and worthy credit, DA:O is the best fantasy RPG ever made and worthy credit.
See how this works?
The good stuff gets credit!
The bad stuff gets shame!
Maybe Darth Caine and you should try to add some balance to your lives Justatroll cause your really coming off as a whiner "Whaaaa, you liked something Bioware did!!! Im going to pout now".
Dont bother replying kid, this thread not about your insecurities and I appoligize to those not flaming and spamming (and making up crap that started all this...DARTH CAINE). Back to topic at hand.
BTW: My reply on topic is found on the first few pages, you wont find a on topic reply from Justatroll or DarthCaine
PS: Im not your freind, my freinds have finished not only jr high school, high school, and post secondary but. well they have real girl freinds and wives. Heck some have kids older then you. Sorry kid, you just dont fit any of the criteria (use a dictionary for meaning of last word)
Wow did I touch some nervers there or what
Nope, standard responce to spoiled children tostupid to accept their betters

I couldn't agree more. That being siad, it's my favorite Franchise of all-time. It's like picking your favorite kid. You love them both the same but you love different things about each.

ME2 was two steps forward and two steps backward in my view and the end result is I have less interest in replaying it (beat it twice). I have finished ME1 3 times since getting ME2.

Even though the gameplay is much better, and the graphics are great, and it's generally higher quality, I still like the original more for at least not being schizophrenic and losing focus. It seems to me like Bioware never had a real plot outline for a trilogy and just came up with the changes and retcons in ME2 to buy time to figure out what to actually do with the plot.

I'm hoping for a mix of the two in ME3.

EDIT: ...ROFL. Didn't read the last page, and therefore didn't realize I'd posted in this already, and to even be quoted. That's sweet, guys. I still definitely feel that way, that ME2 is just overall the better game, but ME1 will always have a special place in my heart. Easily still in my top 5 games of all time.
In no particular order:
- Mass Effect
- Mass Effect 2
- Baldur's Gate 2
- Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

ME2 did some things right for sure, but lets just say it is definitely the game out of the two that desperately needs a strong DLC following, because right now its a struggle to play the damn game anymore.
I exhausted almost everything in game (unless you count seeing the story from a renegade perspective) in one single playthrough of ME2, bar each individual romance obviously. With ME1, I was still getting the occasional surprise on my third playthrough.

I'm about to install Mass Effect 1 and play it..which after reading on here for a half hour or so..seems like a bit of a mistake playing 2 and then 1 (sort of like how the star wars movies went lol) So thanks for all these posts so now I know what to expect in ME1 so I won't be automatically biased against it once I start

And I have a hard time believing you exhausted everything in one playthrough. I'm in my third playthrough now and finding plenty of new stuff.

ME1 was a bit too straight-faced for me, I was almost suffocating from the stale Star-Trek air it gives off.

you know,it's not like there was hundreds of secondary quest, weapons & armors in ME2. Are you saying that in three playthroughs you never fully explored the game? it may be hard to believe for you but some people have discovered every location/done every side quest in only one playthrough without rushing the game.
It's not like there was so much content anyway, hell, even a moderator here said he got 1015/1015 achievements in one playthrough, something that was not doable in ME1.
