I don't think he wants to rebuy the game after spending 60$ on it

Maybe they'll patch it away in the future, but i'm pretty sure linking to No-CD cracks is against forum rules.

A no CD for retail version of the game would be quite useful to many people no doubt.
My disc drive isn't very gentle, and I'd like to keep my ME2 discs in good condition.
I'm sure I'm not the only one in that situation.

I would be very wary of using noCD cracks. Next time you connect to the CBN, Bioware might flag your game as pirated or blacklist your keys.

I only want it for the purpose of keeping the CD as long as I can. I have lots of games that use CD's and I hate having to go find them put them in and then take them out and then put another one in... Just be something that would be nice. I wouldn't mind paying like $5 for like a No CD patch or anything that.

Isn't there an option to download a digital copy with no CD check, as long as you have registered your game ?

Or you can do it legit.

Enjoy.  Disc checks are such a pain in the neck, especially when you'd rather the disc sit merrily about a foot away from the DVD drive where you don't have to deal with the case for no good reason.

Yes that's the best way, although using No-Cd for a game you own is not illegal.

Why would it be illegal? We paid for the game didn't we or we wouldn't have been able to register them with the site.

I think it depends on where you live...

In some countries it is illegal to disable any kind of copy protection, so just because you payed for a license to use the software/game it doesn't allow you to modify it.

But for ME2, it should be easy. When the game is registered, you can DL a digital download version via the EA Downloader that works without a disk.

So, no need for a "fix" at all.

I would recommend not downloading Daemon Tools programs if you're on XP, they've been known to corrupt Windows installs in certain instances in Firefox (yes I know it sounds contrived, but it happened to me).

Can't be super sure about this, have you tried putting the ME key into the EA downloader?

If so, you might be able to download it via the EA downloader, and use that no-cd version.

Discussion of ways to circumvent copy protection and discussion of cracks is not permitted here. Thank you.
