I have seen some people complaing about their graphics and load times, but I only am having trouble with the load times.

Any way to reduce load times?

It is lighting quick for the 1st 30 mins then increases the longer I stay on.

No JOKE i had a 18 minute load time last night!!!!!

Any help would be appreciated..

Run the disk cleanup utility on your drives. I think its mainly whatever drive your page file is on, but do them all if you have more than one to be sure. Every single time my game starts getting slow i run disk cleanup, and clear out temporary files, and it speeds back up again. I have no idea why, but it works. Also make sure you have a nice large paging file.

I get some pretty inconsistent load times as well. I can exit a building, and it will load the town in less than 10 seconds. Then I try to go in a different building, and it can take 2-3 minutes to load it.

Yeah that didnt work really. . . waiting in a load screen right now-its been 7 mins

Well I pulled up task manager cause i was getting so annoyed. . . and the damn thing said DAO wasnt even responding. So that might make more sense, but now I have to ask what is causing that????

A memory leak is causing it, I believe. I think a patch will have to fix it.

I'm currently waiting on a long load time, too. It's been five minutes or more already, and still no sign of moving ahead.

I too experience this. First half an hour or so is great, 5-30 second load times. Then it all goes downhill from there, I find myself doing complete restarts of the game every hour or two. It has gotten quite annoying.

by downloaded I mean from direct to drive or from EA?

I ended up end-tasking DA:O after 10-12 minutes. Fortunately, it was stuck loading right after or during an autosave (hence the autosaves at transition/loading, I guess). For now on, I'll just end the game when a load time seems to be too long and load the autosave to continue...until it gets fixed.



For me, it happened after the discussion with Duncan when he was leaving me to roam the camp at will.

same problem here...I believe it's a memory leak and will need to be addressed in a patch.
