Yeah, I suppose we eat loads of it in the States as well, but acknowledging that spoils the fun of mocking British cuisine.

Edit: Mmm, churros...

At last someone who recognizes them!!!

Here I´m becoming a popular person just because I make them when I invite people to have hot chocolate at my place. They always work miracles.

There are some totaly day-to-day foods in every country that would be considered something exotic elswhere... like the mentioned "kiszka" or "kaszanka" otherwise... I belive that most of the world would consider eating something like that quite exotic... here's a description but basicaly it's anything the butcher couldn't clasify as anything else mixed with blood and buckwheat groats.

Another exotic food from my country is czernina - without further ado - it's a soup made of duck blood. I personaly like it lol.

Yeah, England's pretty dull.

Give me a sunday roast over most of these foreign meals. Yes, that means any country outside of Great Britain :P

I wonder if there are any animal balls that aren't eaten somewhere.  I mean, I know about the rumors of enhanced virility and all that, but come on.  Eventually it reaches a point where it's just eating balls for the sake of eating balls.

Simple: fat, tons of fat. Before industrilization, fat was not preserved well and it was really needed when people had to work a lot in fields.

Godak, BTW; those are called "shrimps with trenchcoat". ;)

Chicharrón (and other names) in Spain is literaly a piece of pork fat, fried and eaten with bread. As I told you, we like heavy food. Seems like I´m a kind of exception since I tend to grill a lot and stew without tons of fat and oil (I hate heavy digestions).

Hey, I'm part Irish! They'd probably laugh about it, and then get drunk.

...And if they DO get angry, I'll just shout "LEPRECHAUN!" and run away. Image IPB

It's not exotic where it comes from, but it is the single most disgusting thing I have ever tried to eat (and I've eaten balut): Durian fruit.

There are two students in my school that moved here two years ago from Peru, and just recently, their mom came in and cooked a Peruvian dish for Spanish Club and La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica. She made this sauce-like stuff in a blender out of chicken, aji (like a chili), onions, herbs and some other stuff that I don't remember, after frying and sautéing all of it. Then, it was served poured over lettuce, tomato, baked potatoes, and hard-boiled eggs. It was delicious, but I can't recall what the recipe was called.

@Statulos: I don't recall you saying where you were from, but I'm curious -- have you ever tried huevos de toro? I'm going to Italy, Greece, and Spain after I graduate, and I'm especially excited to eat in Spain.
