Hi,
I have a steam version of ME2, installed on my laptop and a similar on my desktop. Is there any way I could transfer the savegames from one to the other? Or at least can anybody tell me where to find the savegame files if I have a steam install?
The problem is, that I have already installed DLC on the laptop and I can't redeem the code again for the desktop. Is there any solution to this?
Mass Effect 2 PC to PC savegame transfer question

Saves are in the folder:
My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\
(or the equivalent location on Vista/7).
I use Steam and switch between 2 computers too. I've copied saves and accessed the DLC with from both with no problem (although I had to install the actual DLC separately on each). I think it's linked to your account (which you log into when you launch ME2).

Correct DLC is linked to accounts, not the PC you install it to.

You can install the updates as many times/pcs u want, they only work when you are signed into cerberus network with a account with permissions

Don't forget to copy over your Profile file as well, located under MyDocuments\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\BIOGame\\Profile. That file contains your achievements.

Thanks, it worked just fine. I hope others will find it easier than I did. Thanks again.
