I'm trying to increase my paragon rating to sort out a particular dispute. You know which one I'm talking about ;)

Currently, my paragon is very very close to entering the final fifth bar. I'd estimate another 20 or so points would do it for me. So, I've been flying around trying to find side quests to do to increase my paragon but I think I've done them all.

I haven't done the IFF yet because I'm wanting to get everyone loyal before I do that in preparation for the final mission.

Anyone have any ideas? At the minute I'm thinking I should just do the IFF, perhaps gain some paragon from that and then try and resolve the situation with one of them afterwards.

Bad news I'm afraid. I was in exactly your situation, gained a whole load of Paragon points after Omega 4, such that I'm now just a bit off fully maxed-out, and still can't get the person concerned back onside. It's like you have to have evry Paragon point or something.

You can wear the Death Mask or Inferno armor, quite possibly you can also talk to your crew and be positive to them, unless you've already done them all. Also, respec to give you the 100% paragon/renegade bonus.

Go to merchants and select the blue option on the left. It will get you 5 paragon points for each merchant. This works for most merchants on the Citadel and Omega. Not sure about Illium. It will also get you a nice price cut. ;)

i know exactly what you mean - with another choice, i simply respecced my 95% renegade infiltrator giving him the class bonus which took me over 100% before i made the decision, giving me the option for the choice - wish i had figured it out earlier for the choice you are referring to as well, though!

btw if you fail that influence choice you are referring to, you can still sort the situation out by influencing one of them after the intial convo.

I've got the paragon from all the merchants. Didn't think about respeccing, though. That sounds like the best option, perhaps. I'm currently a level 25 soldier. What do I have to respec to to increase my paragon?

on my first playthrough i was able to select the paragon option in the dispute and sort it out. my paragon bar was about 3/4 a bar off full, however on my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs my paragon bar has been at 100% and it wont let me select the option in the dispute or settle it afterwards, i mean come on WTF is with that i have a full paragon bar for christ sake can anyone help please :) it would be much appriciated.

Another tip... If you are forced to select one, because you still don't have enough paragon points then simply use that character in your squad in the final mission. That way the team member won't die.

This is false. People you picked for your squad can indeed perma-die.

Since this thread has already left the spoiler station, I'd just like to add;
You do not have to have all members loyal to keep everyone alive.

As kelsjet said, because of the situation I was in, as the OP'er has alluded to, I took my non-loyal one with me and she died in the very last cutscene of the last active battle.

So I presume my best bet is to respec, then? And if I still don't have a high enough paragon then do the IFF and the loyalty mission for L and maybe that will increase my paragon enough to bring one of them back on side?

I know exactly what you're talking about in terms of paragon, I was in the same boat before the IFF mission and then I went back to an earlier save file and played again, I stopped that situation with less paragon when I went back, it turned out that the paragon option does not need to be that high (I had a bit over half way), it's less to do with how high of a paragon/renegade you are and more to do with the order of how you do things.

I'll give you a little tip, do enough side quests before you start doing any loyalty missions, get your paragon up to 70%-80% (It's possible), then do the certain loyalty missions back to back without chatting to them in between, once that situation happens the blue paragon option should be available.

I know it would be easier if I went back. This is already my second playthrough, though, and considering I've nearly finished it again I don't want to go all the way back to go through all the same stuff again. I started this playthrough to save everyone too considering I didn't the first time.

There's 36 side quests (according to IGN's guide http://uk.guides.ign...013/page_4.html) and I've done all of those. Is there any more? I may be higher than 25 but that's the last time I remember looking at it but it wasn't that long ago. 27 at most, I'd say.

The other interesting thing I've noticed is that my paragon skill seems to be going down at times. I'm sure that I was slightly into the fifth bar at one point whereas now I'm under. I'm willing to accept this was just my imagination, though :)

There's 22 quests, 19 N7 quests, plus Normandy Crash Site and Zaeed from the downloads.

I haven't done the crash site, actually. Do you get any paragon from that?

I'm positive that's how you do it, I think it has something to do with how far you're romancing also, but if you don't talk in between loyalty missions, the romance option is still not far enough, hence the back to back.

How far you're romancing might definitely have something to do with it. One of them is coming to see me when things get quiet ;)

Apologies for quoting myself, but this compares to 49 Spectre/Miscellaneous quests in ME1, and 3 character quests, plus 5 collection quests (insignias etc).

In terms of character quests, of course, these form the backbone of ME2, so are hard to compare on a like-for-like basis.
