The problem is that Samara's not interested - well, she's interested but strong-willed enough not to give in to temptation. I'm female, so I'm happy with Thane - tee-hee. I can empathize however with the frustration. *sympathetic pat + cookie for OP*

I honestly cannot think of one woman in all of ME who has an attractive personality. I guess Shiala is probably okay, but only in the manner that I know basically nothing about her and she was a commando. Ashley was a neoconservative, Liara is socially retarded and now acts like she drank a Mt. Dew, Miranda is just generally unfriendly and annoying, Jack is a cliche 8 year old that just learned a bunch of curse words and thinks she's tough even though she's useless, Tali is a space nazi, Kelly is loose, Gianna Parasini has the voice of a middle aged office worker and is generally boring, the Consort is faux-mystical and pretentious, Samara is an android, unable to analyze her behavior, and so on and so on.

Yeah, well you ARE right, because all of this "traits" you stated are true for every Character,
BUT that is ofc at the beginning the first Impression you get; it is a dark World, where everyone had and has
bad Life-Experiences. Thus everyone got hurt (in Body and Mind) and its a psychologically natural to close yourself up against "Intrusion" of Strangers, so that you wont get hurt by them.

And thats the Strength of the Shepard-Character: He/She has also experienced harsh Traumas (Sole Survivor on Akuze / Slaughter in the Skyllian Blitz etc.), but didnt succumb to this.
Thats why Shepard can see through the impenetrable Walls of his new Companions and wants to talk to them, so that they open up and show how they really are.

I mean: If YOU would have experienced a Childhood like Jack or Miranda. Or would have lived a life of Death and Destruction like Samara, so that afterwards, when you found out, that you want to be righteous, only to see that you got punished by Faith and your 3 Daughters become Ardat-Yakshi, 1 even a Mass-Murderer.
Take away your Oppinion of your Life and all Experiences and think about a Situation, where you would only know this different Life-Experience and the Culmination of all this Death, Tragedy, Pity and Pain.
You surely wouldnt have become different, because you also wouldnt have know anything else, like ie. Jack.

Everyone of the Romance-Options has a human Side (well.. even the Non-Humans ), but i like Samara especially, because of her Grace, Experience, Wisdom and stuff. Of course she has this "YOU ARE BAD, SO DIE!
Mentality, but this is still a Game and im not "in Love" with her or sth.
Its just a Game-Experience and would have been fun to have a Romance with such a exotic Beauty!

Personally I think that compared to some other NPCs her backround story was a little too short, maybe because BW added Morinth as an NPC too. I also somewhat understand that she wasn't romanceable in the main game, but I definitely wish that BioWare would give us the chance to deepen their relationship, read romace her, either through DLC or in Mass Effect 3.

i think she will be in ME3. in our last conversation in ME2, she said that she had never grown that close to someone, and that when it was all over she will come for me. (paraphrase)



she rejected my romantic advancement earlier, but not because she's chaste or it's part of the code, but just because she's old and didn't think that part of her could be reawakened. however i take that last conversation as saying that i may have actually accomplished it.

In all seriosness though I support it as well, she was about the only character I halfway connected to on the ship and that's saying something since she's pretty cold and robotic concerning her motivations and beliefs *shrugs*  I would like the option though, after she turned my femshep down and then got emotional over it I think it would be pretty epic if it happened in ME3.
