I'm sure how it'd work, but either Samara or the father would be carriers, I think. If ether of them had it, the other would be dead.

I want her too. I know this thread is old but it deserves more support! Lets hope she comes around in ME 3 and really "throws Shepard to the floor" like a Maiden.

I actually like it this way. Adds a sense of realism. Shepard can't get EVERYONE in the galaxy. Also, shows promise in BW's choices. It takes guts to introduce a good-looking (according to others) character and NOT have her as a LI.

Without getting too spoiler-rific, the Ardat-Yakshi seem to be linked to pure-blooded coupling among the Asari. That's why Liara faced so much prejudice.

Edit: when i played renegade she said she will need to kill me if we meet again after the oath has ended... that sounded peculiar...

Agreed.  It's obvious Samara cares about and likes Shepard.  Under different circumstances, she'd probably pursue him/her, and both of them would end up happy.

However, she's made the choice not to do so.  Both her past and her devotion to her duties set her apart.  Personally, I'd much rather have Samara evolve into a trusted avisor and rock-solid battle buddy that Shepard would be proud to call friend, stand back to back with, and follow or lead into hell and back.

Someone to be completely deadpan while she pokes holes in Sheps ego every now and again.

Though I'll admit, a scene where one of them chastely kisses to other and says something along the lines of him/her being too good for the galaxy would be heartfelt.

I agree she should be an option, why not? If you think she's best as just a friend, you can keep her that way, and for those that wanted to romance her they should be able to also. Everybody wins .

I can see an opposer's point though. As it is, it seems you either romance someone or they ignore you. There should be an option to be friends with anyone. Still, I would find some Samara lovin appealing. The harder they resist, the more I want them.

There's already a Samara romance storyline. It doesn't have a happy ending, but it's certainly there.
