Would Jack be more popular if she had great hair ?

A shallow question I know, but I noticed how unpopular she is and wondered what the reasons were especially when I compared her to Miranda. I know most people liked Miranda for her .. appearance and character second.  But what if Jack had a full head of hair, would that change her preconceptions ?

Also, if she was to grow her hair in the second game, what hair style would she have ? Which colour would suit her ?

Not a Mohawk, that'd get even worse reactions than the buzzcut.

Elcor voice.

Obvious statement: Tali's apparent lack of hair has not impaired her popularity.

More seriously:
I think adding hair would ruin Jack's distinctive 'look'. She's a visually impressive design, and I think hair would mess with that.

Speaking for myself, the answer is no. Miranda is far more a teamplayer and understands the importance of the mission you are on. Jack on the other hand, I wish I had the option to leave her on Purgatory.

As for ME3, I made sure she died in all my playthroughs, so I can't help ya there.

Jack is not popular because most people are intimidated by her personality, to comes on strong alot of people dislike Jake and or Miranda for very Sallow  reason...  Jack and Miranda Outter personalities are just defenses to protect themselves from getting hurt emotion... Miranda freezes you out and Jack just violently pushes you away. I don't think the hair style has anything to with it.. Jack is attractive in her own way... but then that just  me.. I have meet and be around ALOT of people...

Jack's got great lips. That trumps her lack of hair for me.

Seriously though, I think hair of any kind would make the people who hate her hate her more. I like Jack myself, and if they gave her long hair it'd make her seem like some emo chick or something and I'd hate her. Or a goth/rocker chick and I'd hate that even more if they gave her a mohawk. Short hair wouldn't fit her attitude. Bald works for her quite well I think.

I like Jack the way she is. Her lack of hair didn't bother me. :) (But not as a LI. She needs years in therapy, not sexual healing. Also, she tells fem!Sheperd to **** off in the end. *shrugs* Would have liked to do more with her friendship wise.)

Although I found her "top" distracting... She doesn't wear very practical clothes... but I guess that doesn't matter much with her being such a powerful biotic.

In one of my playthroughs she was loyal and all she did was give me the finger. Very interesting. That made me decide to stay away from her. I will do her missions, make sure both she and Miranda are loyal and that's it.

Well now then what makes either less crazy than the other because they have issues... its how one deals with them compared to the other.   Both hand had pretty crappy lives... Jack the hell she went through at the Cerberus lab and Miranda just imagine if you found out there you were nothing more than genetic  female clone of  you father made to simply to continue his legacy, you are just a thing.. the Irony behind the difference of Jack and Miranda is that they are  not that much different expect for outwardly behavior and looks

Aye, I see it as purposeful and masterful move from BioWare.

Her face is really beautiful, such a striking contrast to the first impression you get.

I don't see anything wrong with em, just asking if it'd make her more popular if she was busty like miranda

I liked Miranda because of her Australian accent. First time I've heard one in a game... that I recall anyway.

Her breasts were totally secondary to that. :P (And I like Jack just the way she is... But being a woman, I'm not as shallow as some men. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png ;))

Lol, most men are that shallow, why i think people would have liked her better if she had a more voluptuous body, than whether or not she had hair. But being a man, I don't really care about the looks of video game characters ^_^

I think Jack has a nice face and I don't mind that she's sporting a shaved head.  I also don't mind the tattoos or patterns done in her hair stubble.  What I do mind is the miniscule strap top she's wearing while showcasing her (imo hideous) body tattoos.  I can't stand to look at her from the neck-down.  I wish they'd have offered a less-revealing outfit option for her.  A guy friend of mine, on the other hand, doesn't mind her tattoos at all;  it's her lack of hair he can't stand.  *shrugs*  To each their own  :)

Could be worse, in concept she was nude from the waist up...

They did.

Once she is at peace with herself, she can wear a top. ;)

In all seriousness, I don't understand the dismissive attitude of "it's just pixels". It might be animated, it might be computer generated, but it's still art. You don't go around telling someone that a painting is "just a painting", do you? Asethetics are quite important, and it's more than just beauty, it's a whole sense of the world around you. A game like Mass Effect 2 is meant to immerse you in a different reality... Ah, but I'm waxing lyrical about one of my favorite art forms, so forgive me. =]
