I'm prepared for plenty of crossover plotlines, it always happens with the fantasy genre...

I found "A song of Ice & Fire" quite refreshing in terms of fantasy stories. It's one of the rare books that doesn't give me the feeling of being able to foresee half the plot, in fact it smashed my self confident "long-time-fantasy-geek"-assumptions many many times.

Yeah, i agree with that. I think theres plenty of plot twists and unpredictable characters. But yeah, 9/10 times the plot is usually predictable in fantasy books/games/stories/burgers.

I'm going through my Total War library again. If conquering the Old World (and a bit of the New World) three times over doesn't hold me until November 3rd, then nothing will.

All I have been doing for the past 2 1/2 days is combing forums and sites for more on this game lol.
I have been following this one on and off for the past 6 months or something like that. If you have friends like mine you really get a sense of exactly how small our fanbase is in comparison to others. We really are the few and faithful as far as this genre goes! I've been working hard, long hours honing my dual wield technique (using 2 sticks I found), trying to learn how to cast a fireball spell (using a can of ether and a match), and building a Brood Mother statue in my back yard (to perfect my archery skills with my pellet gun... er, I mean, composite long bow of awesomeness)

Just kidding, I'm not that big of a nerd...

... or am I just in denial?

Playing through the entire NWN series again (almost to the end of HotU) and looking forward to a trip to New Orleans next week. Yay! Other than that I'm driving myself nuts waiting for the release date.

I've been crunching on ME2 and rehearsing for a play. Can't wait til DAO is released and I get to see the expressions on people's faces when they reach certain parts of the game or make certain choices.

Staring at my display dwarf thinking how much he looks like a young santa claus. Doesnt he just look jolly and huggable?

And playing through the SAW game (surprisingly not terrible.. who would have thought?)
And I finally got around to borrowing Resident Evil 5 from a friend. Great visuals and story; ****ty gameplay. But what can you do? Thats how every Capcom game is, come to think of it.

Getting a perfect play through of Mass Effect finished, playing Brutal Legend ( which is just as awesome as Legend of Zelda w/ rock music) some Halo ODST, reading the prequel novels (which I loved) sadly my comp can't support the character creator so I have to wait for the game to make a character, but it is steadily getting closer

I'm playing NWN/HotU this time as a sorcerer, too.  Last time I played a sorcerer character was in BGII.  I'm having a blast with her.  No pun intended.  <_<

The same, except I'm playing with a wizard (again). I seem to always have way more fun with spellcasters, don't know why...
