Fulgrim88, I LOVE your portrait! How could anyone not love that face?

Nice idea but what about those of us that like to do both?

I have people who are Renegade and people who are paragon and some that are a mix, also I don't 'generally' play either sex mostly, again I have equal amount of sheps.

So why not a mixed for the renegade/paragon question and a equally both for the male/female question?

The fight argument seems a bit silly too, yes you referenced the paragon/renegade option but who said we had to side with either? We could want them both to get some common sense.

Other than that a good survey :)

Thanks=]

And no idea why there's not as much Urz-love as he deserves. Theres not even a group (and they have one for Space Kermit). Giving him a little representation in the forum was the least i could do

If anyone wants to analyze the results, they are on Google Docs in that spreadsheet link. I will be somewhat busy with university work this weekend, so a comprehensive report may be a while off. Plus, the sample size isn't quite that large yet.

It helps to have SPSS and Excel by your side when you are analyzing the data.

I was going to fill it out but then I got to the miranda/jack and tali/legion options... if choosing the paragon (or renegade option) in durring the argument you don't take sides.

So now I won't fill it out.

I read that to be, "which side were you more sympathetic towards." Which is tough--for me, in Tali and Legion's case, the Geth and the Quarians are clearly locked in a cycle of retribution and violence it's hard to really side with either.

Interesting results so far. But I'm wondering if you're going to keep in mind a variance for people who pick certain characters based on simple fact that they don't want more popular characters(certain ones who will remain nameless)to be at the head of the pack.

But, I guess that's a variance with poll that's offered. Or maybe I just always assume people have ulterior motives.

I'm not sure what the point is of having two separate polls for the ME1 characters is. I mean, they 4/6 of them were essentially just quest NPCs.

EDIT: In fact, it makes me think you're trying to prove a point for something.

Made a pretty substantial difference for me.

Kaiden:  Stayed dull at a score of 3 out of 10.

Wrex:  Remained flawless at 10 in a an appearance where he stole the show in any scene he was in and in the process made Grunt look really bad in comparison to his awesomeness..

Liara:   I loved Liara in ME1 and she's  still my favorite of all the possible love interests; but her absolutely horrible appearance in ME2 forced me to knock her down a point from perfectiion to a 9.

Ashley:  I was fairly apathetic towards Ashley in ME1; but calling me a traitor is a real good way to ****** me off.  Part of me respects the way the Horizon scene hits you in the gut and if thats all there was to it then she would have held even.  However the fact is that Ashley had the audacity to judge me while it was her failure to do her duty and get those damn guns online that resulted in the abduction of half the colonists and the only reason  that she and the remaining colonists survived is because I swooped in and kicked ass.   Thus her profound hypocrisy lost her two points and dropped her to a 4 because at this point the only reason I want to see her in ME3 is so I can tell her what an incompotent, hypocritical, disloyal, **** she is.

Garrus:  I liked Garrus in ME1; but he wasn't very well developed.  In ME2 he really becomes a charming and complex character which gained him two points and knocked him up to a 9.

In my opinion Tali got the best treatment of any of the ME1 characters in ME2.  She got some more attitude, she got some more backstory, and she even got to be the love interest in what I considered to be the best romance in ME2.

So overall when you compare my score for ME1 and ME2.  Wrex and Kaiden stayed even, Liara lost a point, Ashley lost two, Garrus gained two, and Tali jumped a full three points.

Would have to agree with that. The characters i play tend to choose between Paragon and Renegade options as it suits their beliefs/personality which doesn't really give results that easily translate to "primarily making one side choices". And not sure why there's requirement to side with one of the characters in the conflict questions when even the game itself doesn't require that -- i just told both Jack and Miranda to can it; had no interest in siding with either of them.

edit: for the paragon/renegade question, perhaps another of these 1-10 point scales would work better? With 1 meaning character always choosing renegade and 10 meaning always choosing paragon and nice range in-between to cover less extreme characters.

Yes, just keep repeating the "survey" until the data matches the results you desire.

Hehe. Quite an interesting sheet, though. I'm surprised how even the "best romance" turns out. Almost everyone seems to be equally popular. Can't even say if Tali is in the lead or Miranda. Must be the bed scene in the latter case

Also i wonder about 80% being Paragon. It's hard to say for those who usually tend to both directions. In my case i based the "Renegade" upon the final decisions i made, albeit being mostly paragon when it comes to the points.
Wonder how the others determined it

Do you have the data from the 2.0 version? Even if you don't plan to analyze it much, it would still be interesting to see the results (not sure if I missed it somewhere, this forum moves too fast).

This is a great idea, let's hope BioWare are looking at this, as well as their own data.
