Deltaboy37-1, you're really the only one embarrassing yourself here. You're embarrassing yourself. On the internet. Let that sink in for a moment.

I think I went with Tali, too, just because I felt like she had a little bit of a moral high ground in this instance.

Was really glad I could Paragon that, though. I can't help but see almost every RL ethnic conflict in the Quarian-Geth situation. You hurt me, so I'll hurt you, then you hurt me back, and the cycle of violence never ends. (Doesn't Thane have a cool line like that if you fail his mission? "Entropy wins. Entropy always wins," or something?)

Right. In reality I always go for the Paragon option. Though I've watched the Renegade dialogue for the Tali/Legion fight and it is very entertaining.

Only thing you can say in your 'defense' is a side-kick? You keep drowning in the puddle of mud you call your 'intelligence'.

But we can make this ALOT better if you keep me entertained. I'd pay you to join the Chippendale Dancers. :D

I -think- I gave Tali and Miranda the same score (an 8?). I liked them both a lot and I didn't want to mull over 'Does she REALLY deserve a nine? Well, so-and-so got a nine, so... But, then if you think about the low numbers I gave some of my dislikes, I should probably even it out, and...'... Too much thought! >_>

As for the Tali vs. Legion thing, personally I might agree with Legion, but my Shepard picked Tali it's a simple fact of 'I kill a lot of geth and Tali is my best friend, so at this point I have more trust for the quarians', so I went with Tali.

I've actually considered using a 5 point scale instead of a 10 point one when I was creating these surveys so that the ambiguity might be lessened. But, then, for reasons unknown, I opted for the 10 point instead.

I go with Tali every time. Doesn't mean that Legion ain't cool either, though.

Also, couldn't help but think of this while working on this:

Must be my new avatar.

Which is silly, XX55XX did the number crunching, which was the real heavy lifting. Which makes XX55 the very model of a Statistician Salarian.

5 might be too constricting. I think 10 works best.

@ComTrav: And now we see the Exhibit A for why Mordin has a 10 in almost every response. ;)

@badrobot2: Most threads have trolls, the important thing is not to feed them.

Yeah... over an Internet survey lol!

Based on previous threads, I'm not surprised that Deltaboy's persecution complex was at the root of it.

I never called you a troll. That's your persecution complex acting up again and clouding your judgement. ;)

You started the Tali fan bashing on page 3 and it declined from there.

LOL, I love this thread, it reminds me of labor economics where we read papers by professors whining at each other that the statistics are skewed and the other persons wrong. I think that the Tali deniers are skewing the results against her I would peg her mean score closer to 11.

You can't really blame him or any other of the Liarashidan fans for getting a bit defensive, especially when you have multiple people shouting "____ SUCKS!!!! _______ FTW!!!! HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE ______? _______ IS AN ASS!!!!!"

It gets extremely annoying.

Page 3, you started with the accusations of Tali fan conspiracy. And we both know you're not leaving this thread, how many times have you said you're leaving? And yet here you are. B)

Best way to show you are not partial, is not wearing those signatures. Otherwise you are just shooting yourself in the foot.

Well, the difference being that the professors were professionals whose jobs were involved, and this is about... who your favorite Mass Effect character is. Puts it all in perspective. xD

@Heartlocker: Eh, it's a poll about bias anyway. Some people use the tags because they actually like the characters, not because they're aligning themselves in some wacky forum gang war. ::snort::

I know, just saying you ain't really going to sound 'objective' when you are defending the person in question that's also displayed in your signature.

I for once, will proudly carry Garrus + Tali, but fear of being put in the obsessed groups prevents me from doing song.

Deltaboy is not some guy getting his Master's. He once claimed somewhere in this forum that was majoring in finance. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any finance major with as poor a grasp of statistics that he has. He never even uses terms like standard deviation or coefficient of variation in his posts when talking about the survey and its results... He's just another kid, as we can discern from his very username.

Anyways, I think I will release the statistics on this survey next week in a comprehensive report... Anyone with more knowledge of statistics than I do (I have only taken AP Statistics in high school) is welcome to publish their own interpretations of the data. I will shut down the survey by tomorrow.

I have a friend that is an accounting major... but I don't know if she'd have the time to look at the info.
