Hey everyone. No I don't have an HDTV, I have an older TV. And I'm not buying a new one. And no, I'm not in nead of a Miracle Ear.
But I have a new XBox.......... DAO sounds perfectly fine on my TV but I can't hear a thing in clubs in ME2 (Yeah I turned the background sound way way down in options) and most other places sound like everyone is speaking through a tin can when club music isn't blaring.
I went into my XBox and fiddled with speaker options to no avail.
I can't really read the text (despite having a 60 inch TV screen) and can't hear things.
I scanned through the topics and couldn't find anything on this. Do any of you fine folks have this problem? How'd you figure it out?
My sound is echo-y, no matter what I try, please help! I have gret hearing!

You will have a hard time reading text on a SDTV, the game is meant to be played on a HDTV as are most of the games now. And no, Bioware has already said there won't be a patch to fix this. As for your sound problem did you check your connections on the back of the TV? Are you using older sound cables? That could create problems. Other than that unless your TV speakers are getting ready to die I'm not sure what could be your problem.

Hmmmm I'll try newer sound cables. Maybe that'll help. Gracias!
I read a bunch of posts about the HDTV thing. I know they can't fix it, ah well. Like I said, DAO works smashingly for both sound and text. Right now I'm playing a Paragon and I just select whatever pops up blue on the convo wheel. haha

May I ask how you have the Xbox connected to the TV. S Video/RCA. If I guessing correctly you have a rear projection TV, If thats the case you might just have to set up the focus and convergence. Also S-Video will have a clear picture than RCA
S-Video

RCA
S-Video

RCA

After thinking about it you tv might also have component video some high end SD tvs do if so that has the best quality over RCA and S-Video. Focus and convergence should be in the video setting menu. You basically line up the colors to the + so that the + is all white and no color bleeds. all tv's are different so I can't give step by step How to with out the model number.

Thanks for the help and more help too! I picked up an S-vid cable which fit into my TV but didn't fit into the back of the XBox. It's a fattish cylidricle piece. It's an Auvio S-Vid Cable, 1.82m.
My biggest issue is the wonky echo-y sound. The picture is pretty clear (except in darl areas that have lots of neon.
Looking at the back of my XBox, I'm not seeing a place to stick 3 three cable plug you have shown in your post.
I mean, there's the larger enormous fatty plug that comes with the XBox........ It's plug looks like a larger USB type thing. Thoughts on sound?

You need a cable specifically made for the 360. Here is one at Walmart that will work it will also replace your audio cables if those are indeed the problem with you sound.

BTW, the cable worked swimmingly and cleared up the picture in a way I didn't know it could clear it up. So thanks again Celrath!
