Start with the Userbar Designer, I got my start there, & it'll help ease the learning curve since it'll handle some of the work for ya until ya can learn more about this stuff.

When ya get more grasp of art stuff, search through this Thread for the links to Paint.NET, & Gimp. Paint.NET is useful for modifying images, (i.e. I took Stanley Woo's Avatar & manually recolored his eyes from it's prior yellows to the new reds, A.k.a. improving it.) & Gimp is useful for animating GIFs.

I still have a lot to learn about wielding both Paint.NET & GIMP's art force powers. :D

Oh, one last thing, PNG rules for non-animated Pics & GIF rules for animated Pics. Paint.NET & GIMP also have native file types used specially by that program & they're useful for saving unfinished work if ya aren't able to get it done in one go.

Perhaps, but my sigbars are made by me on Gimp, so I do know little. Sure, removing things the nice way would be nice to know... :P

the finger on the tool window is the smudge tool set it to about 50% opacity and you can remove stuff with it

This one is an experiment with Cooltext.com's 'High Speed' Font + an Animated Glow. :)

Edit: One nuisance with the 'Animated Glow' is that it has no option for generation with a Transparent Background, so instead, i've been taught the excact RGB color for this Site's Post Box Background. This Sig Bar is specialized for use here on this Site & will be ill adapted for other environments.

I've performed an experiment with one of GIMP's Animation methods, got some interesting Prototype results:

This has possibilities... :D

Edit: I've furthered my experiments, check this out!

It appears that to make these the desired size, the base Pic should be desired final size (in pixels) x2. Plus, if ya want a fully solid sphere, unlike the above, ya wanna use a square-corner Pic instead of a round-corner Pic. Additionally, square-dimensional Pics will make round Spheres while non-square Pics will make more ovalish Spheres.

Lastly, THIS IS SO FREAKING COOL!!! :D Leliana Marble FTW!!! <3

Gotta learn a bit of Gimp myself. Would it be possible to create a... image manipulator-creator program tutorial thread here in the offtopic? Such programs are not only usable in a sigbar fashion, but also for other purposes.

I don't consider 'Super Effects' dirty, but i'm still attempting to be more careful in the future. It wasn't my intent to try to make people's puders choke. :blush: I just kinda went nuts with this new power. :D

Whether or not it'll be super cool, I can't say. My perception is skewed by my being the Creator.

This is a prototype using a new power. I didn't expect to get it up & running so soon. B)
