Yes, I'd wait on the medical documentation before pursuing any physical relationships with extra-terrestrials, haha

Whatever happened to Turian, Krogan, Elcor, Volus, Salarian, Hanar, Batarian, Vorcha females???!!! Where the heck are they? You hear talk of them but did BioWare intentionally exclude them from the game?

Then it wouldn't really be female

There are several species on Earth with females lacking vaginas.

Cloacas don't count.

They are all too sexy... Bioware was afraid we could not handle the hotness. (eww) Plus I hear the Vorcha females will eat you alive, literally. Posted Image

We're humans. Expanding our horizons and trying new things is how we got to the top of the food chain. Why should we stop now? A little Dextro-DNA isn't gonna kill me!

Umm by that logic.....beastiality is okay.  The only reason people are even accepting interspecies sex in games like this is that the aliens resemble humans in some fashion and are sentient.

It'll just rot out your insides, but it'll be totally worth it.

Also, this will be your new colon:

Is it actually physically possible for some alternatively arranged nucleic acid to fatally harm someone? Are we talking cancer here, or wouldn't it just be crapped out/do nothing?

Small amounts of DNA exchange would be largely harmless. LArger amounts would be similar to food poisoning. I do not think a dextro amino can even pass through the intestines unless by diffusion, in which case it would just circulate aorund the body doing nothing significant. That or it would never get broken down at all in the intestines, and would pass through your body undigested, like lactose intolerance.

Well, since there's no example of destro-amino acids on Earth, I'm fairly certain we're relegated to guessing, and in my Googlery, I've yet to find any experiments on this (because who cares).

If I had to guess from the standpoint of a guy who likes physics and chemistry and reads up on both, I'd say they'd LIKELY pass harmlessly through the body, unless we're talking about ingesting a large amount of something the body can't break down.  If you ate a steak from a dextro-cow, I don't doubt it would rip your small intestine to shreds.

Ingesting a bit of bacteria?  Probably not as bad, but then, that's guessing based on chemistry and logic.

Mass Effect fans are amusing. I hope Bioware never stops making sci fi rpgs. It's simply too good, and so many wierd and hilarious questions..

And why would i want my character to romance a human (i did alien romance in first playthrough of me 1 and me 2 atleast, other romances are interesting, but not as interesting as alien.... rawwwwwrr)(really, anything in a game that makes it different from reality is cool), when you got lots of different hot stuff running around. Like Vorcha... lol j/k (about the vorcha)

can i have a quarian and a asari please ;p

anyways but as long as a female alien had a human-like body (doesn't need to have 5 fingers or toes or w/e just a bit similar to a human female) then who wouldnt go after them? its always exciting and wise trying new stuff etc.

On a different note, we would still have to %*&# our own kind to keep the species going. As I recall, the only other species that ME says you can reproduce with is Asari, and they will always be Asari, not a hybrid.

BTW makes me wonder how much biological BS people can take from ME, but when hybrids are mentioned it's like IT'S IMPOSSIBLE BIOLOGICALLY NOOOOO. Just a thought.
