Hey all.

I made this video of an all biotic group on the suicide mission.
I did this because so many seem confused that biotics are somehow weak, or... something.

I have part 1 done (will get the rest up as time permits), and hope you enjoy it;

www.youtube.com/watch

Part 2 is up! (processing done! available in 1080p!)

Part 3 is up! (processing done! available in 1080p!)

Cheers,

EDIT* There are no edits etc in the vid, as that just defeats the purpose.
EDIT** There are no edits etc in any of them. Just FRAPS'd then movie maker.

Hope you like 'em!

P.S. Would be really cool to know what BioWare thinks lol!

Cheers,

Oh yeah, I encoded it in 1080p HD, so scale it up!

All player character powers are used in real time, with the hotkeys.

Squad is from the tac menu.

Just thought I'd say you're very good at Adept. I beat Insanity with Adept as well, but I'm no wear near as smooth as you lol.

I'll stick to my Soldier :P

Excellent!

I'm reminded of the sheer stupidity of all those "Adept most boring class ever" threads.

I like your femshep too.

A+ all around.

Build:

Heavy Warp

Heavy Throw

Heavy Singularity

1pt Pull

Nemesis

Heavy Barrier

Spec squadmates with squad ammo powers for the most, except a few like Grunt where he's better with Krogan pureblood/Heavy Fortification.

i.e. the Warp ammo comes from Jack.

Part 2 coming soon ;)

Exactly my build except I have warp ammo instead of barrier and sniper instead of assault.

How long does your barrier last when you have all your upgrades?

One of the most entertaining videos I've seen for ME2, it's on par with the charging vanguards. Looking forward to part 2. Excellent choice of music too ^_^

Nice video. I recently made an adept, and I haven't found the class underpowered or wanting at all..

The only tweak I would make to it, would be to make singularity bleed shields and armor a bit faster, but thats it.

One question though. I see you have heavy singularity and not wide singularity. I thought it was more or less a consensus that wide singularity was the better option?

Does heavy singularity do more damage or something?

Damn me, I thought Vanguards were powerful for that area and granted it's a bit faster, but you were never in any danger at all. Can't believe some say this isn't powerful enough

kudos... I played insanity on my PC as adept and I too couldn't understand why people were QQing about Adept so much. It's the best class in the game, imo. All those who think it's terrible just need to learn to play.

While I am unsure of damage, I know that it fits the role I give it better.

To explain;

I heavy singularity the harbingers.

This gives me time to take out all the lackies with pulls/throws/etc ensuring only one harbinger spawns most of the time.

Same for Scions and the rest that are vulnerable to this.

Basically, I use singularity to hold the real threats while the rest are disposed. Heavy suits this much better.

The max if you take improved, is 180 sec + bonuses. Though, I have heavy, so 60 sec + bonus.

The reason I don't take ammo skills etc, is that my squadmates can easily give these to me.

Why take a skill that you can have as easily as upgrading Jack?

No one can give you an 'oh shiz...' button like barrier.

That's my logic.

It's a good vid, to be sure. Never considered an *all* Adept group. I did find my Adept to be one of the more fun classes to play(I've cleared the game with all 6 now), right alongside the Infiltrator making heads explode with the Widow. Glad to see someone showing the class as more than a warp-spammer.

ROFL, I'm totally posting that link everytime someone whine's about Adepts. That was smooth... and yeah, you're a helluva lot better Adept than I was.

Can I ask ask what music you used for your video?

I really enjoyed it also. You're an impressive adept.

I agree with the opening poster too that heavy is better.  It holds longer and I found wide singularity seems to fling living enemies much further when it lets go sometimes landing them behind you thus flanking you.  The difference is only 1.2 meters in radius and oddly enough wide can only hold four people before it lets one go wheras heavy can hold six - not that those kind of numbers are all that common.

Nice run! Double Heavy Reave seems to be very effective and I'm surprised at how effective Jack was.

Only Samara has reave ;)

But yes, it's a very nice skill.

Ahh, thought you were using it as your bonus talent. I play the 360 version so I'm not used to the PC interface.

It's... er... the music from this level ;)

'Suicide Mission + The End Run' on the ME2 soundtrack.

I think you do more damage though if you take the skill yourself as opposed to using squad ammo - at least that's what I remember - and I think that's why I opted for that.

Anyway, I just switched to heavy barrier - I have a ton of element zero - so I'm going to try it our and see what I think.

Very very nice, it was quite awesome to see how fast you killed things. I think you went through there faster than I did on my soldier :P

This makes it even harder to take the people who complain seriously about how gimped their class is when all it really takes is trying to understand the class, how its supposed to work and how they can be more effective with it

I subbed and favorited. Besides the Barrier/Energy Drain difference and the direction you went on your final 4 point selection, you and I are going to have identical builds.
