From my short playing time and the videos I have seen on utube it seems to me that Morrigan is the one that is most used and also dies less often, what is your opinion on this?
Also seeing that the viewpoint of Morrigan and Wynne are so opposite is it possible to get Wynne to teach Morrigan SH?

Personally, I found Morrigan to be completely useless since I was playing a mage. I only brought her to cities to hear her funny comments. Otherwise, she and Wynne could stay in camp and whine about what a heartless bastard I was.

Spirit Healer comes from a book, so you can teach it to Morrigan if you like.

Morrigan vs Wynne comes down to RP choices, and what you want out of your mage. Morrigan starts with better crowd control and damage spells, but Wynne starts with a lot of great healing spells. If you want a good healer, Wynne is amazing... with proper tactics set and the plot ability she can eventually get, she can get you out of a lot of scrapes. You can teach Morrigan spirit healer, but you need to learn it from a tome. Wynne has the advantage of not having a semi-useless specialization, but Morrigan has the advantage of getting her earlier so you can probably customize her more.

I routintely brought both Wynne and Morrigan along for most of the first half of the game (with a PC Mage). I found that having two mages drawing aggro was a lot easier when there was a dedicated healer (who literally spent no mana on anything but healing).

I lost count how many times that Morrigan ends up the last one standing, and prevail. (Especially after I take control of her of course.)

I managed to get everyone else knocked out against the Archdemon with the Archdemon still at 60% health.

And yet Morrigan still won the fight.

Using Morrigan's tactics slots to keep her focused on damaging spells helps a lot. Do NOT give her too many weapons -- she thinks she's an Amazon and goes rushing into fights rather than hanging back and picking off the baddies with spell damage. This behavior can be tempered with her tactics slots, but I haven't been able to completely eliminate it without taking control of her. Get your armor spells as early as you can -- Rock Armor and Arcane Shield -- as they're life savers.

I suspect that her usefulness gets expanded since you really need a mage in the party to fight well, you've got a choice of two, and she starts out with more power spells than Wynne. When playing as a mage, she's not useful at all -- I had her (and Wynne) along only when forced to.

Leliana, IMO, is far more useful than Morrigan even when not playing as a mage, since a lock specialist is important and Zevran starts out at a disadvantage there (though I suspect that if I played as a rogue, which I haven't yet, I'd find her similarly not useful).

It all depends on your playstyle who is the most useful. In honesty I found Alistair the most useful when playing as a mage and Morrigan the most useful when playing as a warrior. And strangely enough Leliana when playing as a rogue (double sap ftw).

But it depends on your playstyle.  The main thing is, you kinda need a mage and Morrigan's the one you get early and is "cooler" than Wynne.

I like the 100% loyal Dog. He brings me presents. I don't have to buy him anything. He murders those nasty mages. And he's cute.

I much prefer Wynne, Though if I opt not to help Wynne.... I use morrigan, I like to have atleast one mage... if i'm playing a mage I still take one of them, since i'm much to lazy to do healing D:

Zevran and alistair always fill my other party slots.

Me too.  Plus, he's tough as heck and works well as background melee.  And, I don't have to seduce him or worry about him taking things personally.

I love Morrigan in a fight, but she free-bases the lyrium. Between Wynn and Morrigan, I spent on my money on potion ingredients to keep the chicks in magic. Lillianna developed as an archer is much more economical damager. But,she lacks some of the more useful crowd control abilities.

Morrigan seems to die a lot for me.  For healing you can't beat Wynne.  I use them boht pretty much all the time even if I am a mage.

It's fun having a 3 mage team and watching them just unload their spells.  Warrior don't even have time to reach the enemy.

Rock Armor is, to me, a must for mages. I set a tactical slot which activates it based on Enemy; Any or Enemy; Nearest Visible.
