I mean, Titanic would have been boring as hell if there were no women and children in it, because there would have been lots of room on the life-boats and nothing on "the line".
I can just see it now, a little turian child on Omega, tugging at my pant-leg, asking if I'm the "real" Commander Shepard, and me shoo-ing away the filthy little thing.
Thoughts?

I don't think anyone can argue that both installments of Mass Effect were incredibly immersive, but there is one thing that would help to increase that feeling of being in a living, breathing galaxy: women and children.

I'm not asking for a patch, or DLC. I was simply hoping that in Mass Effect 3, we could have kids running around as something to fight for, to represent our future, rather than a bunch of grown-up A-Hole humans and aliens.
I support replacing the current council members with children. They can't do any worse a job.

I know with some games (European versions of Fallout 2 for example) children were removed from the game due to them being in an environment that contains adult themes; drugs, sex, violence etc. It's probably easier to publish a title without these limitations and why games like Fallout 3 have an 18 (UK) rating.

I think adding children to the game could be cool, but too often child characters in video games seem to lack realism, and come off as silly or frivolous. Alien children would be an exception to this rule, I imagine, but I doubt many of the places Shepard would visit would have children around (unless he was disrupting a slaving operation or something).

There are plenty of women in the game, at least female humans and quarians. Asari don't really count as women, but there are plenty of those as well. It would be interesting to see female turians, salarians and krogan, as well as drell, batarians and other races.

A few grubby kids running around now and then on Omega or in the Wards. Or even a mother carrying her baby while walking down the lanes of the Presidium. I would love to see two Krogan kids fighting over a toy ax or something. A Paragon Shep teaches them the value of sharing, and a Renegade Shep breaks the toy and tells them that he has solved the problem. >.>

That's the reason why children aren't in this game, or many M rated games.Gravity Bun wrote...
I was thinking the same thing last night - where are all the kids?
