So a question on the Burning Down the Sky DLC.
After playing through ME1 a long time ago, I stopped playing before patch 1.01 or w/ever came out. When it came close to time for ME2 to come out, I dusted off the old game to make sure my saves were good to go.
Starting it up, I saw an announcement about the new patch and the BDtS DLC. The announcement made it seem like if you DL'd the patch, you pretty much got the DLC new mission along with it. I went ahead and updated just to make sure my files were the right version before ME2 came out. I wasn't really interested in playing ME1 again at that point, so didn't bother taking my character through the new mission.
Now it's a few weeks later. I've beat ME2 and decided I wanted to go back and try a new char, starting with ME1 again. I thought it would be cool to try the new mission this go around. However, I can't find it anywhere.
- I have a codex entry for Batarians
- I know the patch dl'd and installed successfully, my config shows the proper version of ME1.
So the questions:
1) Is BDtS part of the Patch? I've looked for it seperately, can't find it anywhere.
2) On my galaxy map, there's no mention of an "Asgard" system as advertised for the DLC. Is there some trigger I need to interact with in order to open it up?

The patch is part of BDtS, though you can get it separately too.

Okay, so should the "Asgard" system just show up on my galaxy map if I have it installed? As far as I knew, the patch I dl'd had BDtS in it, but I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary, other than the Batarian codex entry.

The patch doesn't contain BDtS, but the BDtS installer does contain the patch. I think it's the patch that adds the Batarian entry, not the mission itself.

How do you get the BTdS dl in the first place. After 2 months of screwing around in these different forums, I've yet to ascertain how to do it. I finally found by serial code for BDtS, but can't figure out how to get it. WTF

Yeah, I was having headaches about getting the serial key for BDtS as well and EA support was less than useless but I did find the answer to getting the key.
First off, go here; http://masseffect.bi...nthesky_pc.html, partway down on the right you'll see it says 2. Register Your Mass Effect (PC) CD Key and get a Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky CD Key for free! and just below that will be a link to register your CD key, enter your ME1 serial key and once you do it will automatically take you to the page that will have your BDtS serial key. Just copy that and then go install BDtS using that serial key and you're all set. If you don't have a Bioware account when you go to do this you'll need
BTW, why did you pay for BDtS when it's free? I thought only Pinnacle Station was paid DLC...
