Hopefully someone can answer this for me.

I finally received my HDD transfer cable - my ME2 stuff is obviously on the old HDD as is ME1.

Will transferring the data mess anything up with regard to my current playthrough OR any future playthroughs where I transfer an ME1 character?

The only reason I ask is because the ME1 endgame saves are put somewhere where we can't access them (or so I believe)

In ME2, the save import thing is different than ME1, so you should be fine there. I'm not sure, but I think you may be able to hunt around and find those ME1 character files? I may be wrong.



I do know that if your character files don't transfer, all your saves certainly will. If you have a save near the end of the game (most people seem to) you can just pop it in and beat it again. Shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes and you'll have a character save to import.

I transfered everything on my hard drive, and all my ME1 saves imported into ME2 without any problems, so you should be fine.

i have been wondering this myself.i am thinking about either buying an elite or a ps3 next week still debating on that.but if i buy an elite and transfer will my game saves carry over.but it seems it worked for siff lord so i wont worry about it a guess.

OK, I've done the HDD transfer. It all looks good!



Naturally I can't say how it'd work for a new game, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work with a newly imported save.



So yeah, HDD Transfer has no effect
