I'm new to dragon age and I have been enjoying it a lot.  I'm going threw again as a mage focusing on the entrophy spell tree, which I neglected to use much my previous playthrough.  I was in the brecilian forest last night and I came upon some werewolves.  I used a few spells to dispatch the creatures however when I was done there was a white named werewolf just standing there.  He wasn't agressive he was just standing there much like an npc.  I tried to attack him and found I coudln't.  I know this was a creature that was attacking me before I used some spells. Ok weird I thought, perhaps just a random glitch, I continued onward.  After a few more minutes I came to a fight a tree.  Everything was going smoothly when suddenly the tree's yellow name turned white and the lifebar stopped a 1/4 life from dying.  My warrior, rogue and dog were attacking the tree as was I.  I stopped attacking but the other 3 remained attacking.  This tree stood there at a 1/4 life motionless gettin attacked and taking no damage.  When i tried to attack again, I found I couldn't, exactly the same as the werewolf.  My other 3 party members remained hitting the tree and I was stuck in fighting mode. After a few minutes of trying to unbug the tree I gave up.   I was tired and figured the hell with it and just closed the game without saving.  So I figure it is some bug with the sleep, horror/waking nightmare spells.  I used sleep both times as horror and waking nightmare.  I can't be entirely sure of the effects from the spells, the first fight there were many werewolves, and I know for a fact I was able to turn 2 of them on there friends.  The 2nd fight I think the tree resisted the sleep spell, but I can't be certain, with the entrophy tree most of the spells cast are hex's, so the possiblity of resisting is high.  I am only around lvl 8 so I dont have that many spells.  Im pretty certain it's either horror or waking nightmare, these spells cause weird and random effects on monsters.  Sometimes they fight against there friends, sometimes they stand there stunned and sometimes they ignore it and come and kill me. 

I'm not sure if this was already brought to attention/fixed or if this is something weird that is happening to only me.  Any feed back, help etc would be truely appeciated.

It's likely known. You likely screwed up a trigger by making the Wolves sleep etc. before encountering them in battle.

I've seen enemies stop taking damage once or twice so I think there is a glitch, albeit rare. Was there a swirly halo around the enemy's head? If so, then that means they're stunned/sleeping/waking nightmared...I try to F5 save often so if a fight screws up or goes horribly, horribly wrong, I don't have to either suffer with the screw-up or do over a huge chunck of the game. Maybe restarting the game will help? Sucks to lose out on the XP/loot.
