Seems reasonable. Except I can't get the image of a preying mantis devouring her mate out of my mind now.

Kinda like Quarians without the helmets... oh, no!

Joke aside, looks like a very good concept to me. Very similar to the male Turians, yet still distinctive.

I sure hope they finally show us female Salarians and Turians in ME3. I can see leaving out female Batarians and Krogan and so forth...but Salarians and Turians are two of the most important species in ME.

that seems about right, took the existing turian model and embellished some female traits on it. It's not overdone imo either, I approve.

Whoever did it, nice drawing - seems quite realistic and appropriate without being over-the-top or anything.

I like it, but there does seem to be some evidence of breasts, which I'm not sure I like. I don't think Turians should have mammary glands. Otherwise a good way of making a feminine turian.

I heard concept art for the female Turians existed during the developement of ME1. Is this based on that or is it, in fact, the concept art itself?

That we know of.

I mean, we've only seen earth-birds. Nobody has seen space-birds. And the platypus is a good example of a monotreme that has characteristics of both birds and mammals.

Quarians, who seem to share at least some of their physiology with Turians, do have breasts. If Turians are mammal analogues, it would more or less make sense for females to be built like that.

I would expect Salarian females to be flat-chested, though.

Female turians should look nothing like turians. That would be funny. They should look like Andy Kaufman, unibrow and all.

She has flexibility.

Looks pretty good to me. We should see some female turians already.

Who siad anything about birds? I don't know where people get this idea that Turians are birds? They look like reptiles or reptomammals. As for a drawing I like it very much. Want this to be cannon :)

It doesn't look like breasts to me, the Turians have a chest-plate of sorts - look at this concept: http://i39.tinypic.com/e8u4o3.jpg

Agree with this comment. I mean, we don't need boobs to make something feminine. Just make the female sleeker, at least if we assume that turians are sexually dimorphic in a similar fashion to humans.
