Man, the Krogans must be kicking themselves for losing the Rebellions to Skeletor.

Suspect that drawing (female Turian one, not the concept sketch) leaves it ambiguous on purpose. That said, would prefer no breasts on turian females or if they insist on some then at least hope they don't just copy humans. Nature has more than one way to arrange that particular piece of anatomy, even on our own Earth.

Quarians, who seem to share at least some of their physiology with Turians, do have breasts. If Turians are mammal analogues, it would more or less make sense for females to be built like that.

I would expect Salarian females to be flat-chested, though.

The structure of their DNA is similar, based upon the same amino acid chains.  That does not mean that they should share morphological traits and display sexual dimorphism in the same way.

Humans and fish have similar DNA structures, and are based upon the same amino acids.  Morphologically are we similar?  In a few ways.  Do our secondary sexual characteristics translate?  Certainly not, and we're far more closely related than Turians and Quarians would be.

Quarians evolved from something that one can only assume was a mammalian species.  Turians we know for a fact are not mammals.
That said I have to agree with the space birds guy.  Our planet's morphological guidelines do not necessarily apply, for all we know the mounds on a Turian female's chest could be hatcheries, where eggs are tucked for incubation after being laid.

...I think I made myself a little sick just now.

My one complaint is that I'd expect the head fringe to be a little more low-key, based on the idea that the male half of a species tends to have the "look at me, look at me" features. (Mane on a lion, tail on a peacock... Hell, I've seen some men that have better, more luxurious hair than any woman may hope to have)

This is a good point. Maybe turian females will also be duller in color then their male counterparts?

We do? I am curious, becouse codex entry does not state anything about Turian evolution except metallic thingy. But I could missed something.

I'm having a hard time imagining a color duller than the green-gray the turians already are

I believe that their skeletons are similar - compare Tali's and Garrus's hips, feet and hands.

Of course, this could be simple coincidence and they may be nothing like each other.

We still don't know what a naked Turian looks like...we can't even guess thanks to the trash cans they all wear.

That we know of.

I mean, we've only seen earth-birds. Nobody has seen space-birds. And the platypus is a good example of a monotreme that has characteristics of both birds and mammals.

Mammary glands are excusive to mammal, it's were we get the word "mammal" from. That and based on the evolution of birds, any thing that can way a bird down in flight has been thrown out like certin extended sexual organs for males, duel deposits for waste and mamary glands. Though land based only male bird do have extended male organs, the females still lay eggs and if turians are an extention of birds and reptiles then their not going to have boobs.

That  type of sexual dimporphism makes sense but on the other hand it's result of specific evolution which had the males of a species compete for attention of the females. It's not universal and in some species the reverse can happen -- lot of spiders for example or even mammals like hyenas can have the female larger and otherwise more attention catching than the male.

But they are gonna turn it into a romance option we gotta have something.;)

You want to do what with it. They have hard skin. You can get away with having one insert it in you, but putting "it' in them would.....hurt.Image IPB
