Like you blow up Collector base and Illusive Man attacks you with army of Geth!
Also how your Shepard looks?

If Garrus is killed in the suicide mission the Omega news item regading Archangel and a Donovan Hock's guest speak about Archangel as if he is still fighting mercs on Omega = Garrus hasn't been reqruited.
That is somehow dependent on the Garrus "acquired" plot flag. If marked again in the Gibbed's save editor, the news item and the guest speak up right: "Archangel is gone", but Garrus magically reappears on the Normandy, even though he is still flagged as dead, and reddened out in the "team status" menu (same happens with all the others).
Now, I'm curious, does it mean that not recruited squadmates will be treated as dead in ME3? And the dead as not recruited? And how the ME3 will recognize the consequences of their "loyalty" missions? Will we be getting the e-mails or not? Or is it just a Garrus related glitch?

Jack, Kasumi & Thane die from lack of upgrades
Jacob dies in the vents
Disloyal Miranda's bubble gets Zaeed killed (or Grunt if I have no control over this, I'll bring them both along)
Grunt is a bad 2nd leader & dies
Disloyal Tali & Disloyal Miranda during the final fight
Leaving: Mordin, Garrus, Morinth, Legion. I'm sure Mordin will die here. I doubt Legion will.
I'm also going to see in this playthrough if ME2 cares if you don't ever recruit Garrus in ME1, since you can turn him down.

You can also choose to not recruit Wrex in ME1, and I wonder if there is a difference in the dialogue if he was left standing at the C-Sec elevator. Has anyone imported an ME1 save with an unrecruited Wrex?

I can't speak from personal experience, but I remember reading a post about this. I think Zulu_DFA was talking about it. I believe he said that Wreave states that Wrex was killed on Tuchanka.Siansonea II wrote...

ME2 doesn't honor the "Garrus not recruited" flag very well, which is a bit different from not at all. Your very first conversation with him will be different. That's it.Siansonea II wrote...
I can tell you right now that ME2 doesn't honor the "Garrus not recruited" flag from an ME1 save, if there even is one in the save file. Garrus still talks to you like he was along for the ride, I don't think there is any difference in his dialogue. I was really disappointed by that, actually.

Interesting, the default ME2 playthrough will acts as if you had recruited Wrex, because his broodbrother Wreav will thank you for killing him. I'm sure if they play it the way they did Garrus, Wreav will still act like Wrex died on Virmire, but I haven't tried it.

Depends on how many people you've recruited, if you have the DLC squadmates, if you want Chakwas to live (but the rest of the Cerberus crew to die), what upgrades you've done to the Normandy, and who's loyal.english thor wrote...
Hello, i just did the playthru to end with only ME1 characters, but sadly Mordin lived =(. does anyone have any suggestions before i try again?
My quickest suggestion would be to have an unloyal Mordin with a loyal Tali holding the line while you take a loyal Garrus and unloyal squadmate to the final boss fight.

If someone's hold the line group is (all loyal) Mordin, Garrus, Morinth, Legion, Will Mordin & Garrus both die? (I plan on trying the following eventually, but with a new file started from the beginning of ME1):
4 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 8/4 = 2.0 ----> No one will die, not even Mordin.
Zaeed will only die at this section if your second squadmate is Morinth.Thajocoth wrote...

Who do you want to live at the end, though?

Not exactly.
If you never recruit Wrex, the conseqences in ME2 are as follows:
1. In the import screen Wrex is listed as "survived the mission on Virmire" (well, good for him he was not there).
2. You get to ask TIM on Wrex's whereabouts, just like any other ME1 squadmate's. (Obvious glitch/overlook/negligence. I was more intereste in knowing what happened to Mr. Adams, who gets a lot more dialogue in ME1, than Wrex if you tell the latter to get lost.) And TIM says Wrex has gone to Tuchanka.
3. Wreav is Urdnot honcho on Tuchanka, and he does not mention Wrex at all.
4. The Urdnot mechanic (I believe, but maybe the scout commander), when asked "What do you think of Wreav?" says something that Wreav is much better than "a bunch of radical reformers", that tried to stir things up, until put down by Wreav.
5. When you ask Maleon, why he came to the Weyrlock, and not Urdnot, says that "Urdnot Wrex is to soft".
It's possible, that #5 is just another overlook by the devs and #4 you get anyway even if Wrex was killed on Virmire (IDK for sure). But as it goes, if you ignore the ridiculousness of asking TIM about Wrex, it may all fall well together: some time after you hijacked the Normandy, Wrex left Cora's Den and went to Tuchanka. He managed to grab the power briefly, but in the end Wreav toppled him.
Whether it resuled in Wrex's death or he managed to escape again, can not be said for certain. But I doubt you'll ever hear about Wrex in ME3, and whatever the consequences be for the virmired Wrex, they will also apply to the never recruited Wrex.

Okay, I'm gonna take that original post and modify it with what I've learned about the Hold the Line scenario.
All 12 loyalty missions completed. Normal recruitment mission order.
-----------------
Final Squadmates: Tali and Garrus (and Dr. Chakwas, for ME1 characters)
-----------------
Loyals: Jack, Jacob, Grunt, Garrus, Mordin, Tali, Thane, Kasumi
Non-loyals: Miranda, Legion, Samara, Zaeed
Normandy Upgrades: None
Chakwas & Crew: Chakwas only
Before the Omega-4 Relay
-Side with Jack during the Miranda/Jack fight
-Side with Tali during the Tali/Legion fight
-Scare Morinth away when you meet her to mess up Samara's loyalty
-Delay going through the Omega-4 Relay (at least 4 missions post crew kidnapping) to get everyone except Chakwas killed
After the Suicide Mission
-Take the paragon route for Zaeed's loyalty mission and leave him to die.
Assignments
Vents - Jacob (dies)
Fire Team Leader - Any
Biotic - Samara (bring Miranda and Mordin, Mordin dies)
Second Fire Team Leader - Grunt (dies)
Escort - Legion (dies)
Final boss squadmates - Miranda and Samara (both die)
Distraction Team - Garrus, Tali, Zaeed
Deaths, before landing
Jack - No Armor Upgrade, laser'd
Kasumi - No Shield Upgrade, incinerated
Thane - No Weapon upgrade, impaled
Deaths, after landing
Jacob - Died by rocket to face
Mordin - Died by seeker swarm
Legion - Died escorting Chakwas
Grunt - Died while closing second door
Samara - Died at final boss
Miranda - Died at final boss
Zaeed - Died by fire
-----------------
Final Squadmates: Tali and Garrus (and Dr. Chakwas, for ME1 characters)
-----------------
Modification for Killing the Normandy Crew
- Send no escort
- Hold the Line: Zaeed, Tali, Miranda, Samara - HtL Score is 1.25 -
- Final Boss: Garrus and Legion - Legion will die

Actually I did this exactly and what I found was Mordin and Tali ended up dying so I upped the strength of the distraction team slightly by swapping Miranda into distraction and taking Loyal Jack with me to the boss.
This will result in only Mordin dying holding the line.
I'll correct my post:
All 12 loyalty missions completed. Normal recruitment mission order.
-----------------
Final Squadmates: Kasumi, Jack, Miranda, Tali, Samara (Girl power!)
-----------------
Loyals: Jacob, Grunt, Garrus, Mordin, Kasumi, Thane, Jack, Legion, Miranda, Tali, Samara
Non-loyals: Zaeed
Normandy Upgrades: Silaris Heavy Ship Armor (Jack survives)
Chakwas & Crew: Dr. Chakwas survives?
Before the Omega-4 Relay
-Do Zaeed's loyalty, save the workers but don't Charm Zaeed's loyalty back
-You MUST resolve the Jack/Miranda argument successfully
-Side with Tali during the Tali/Legion argument
-Do side missions and others if you want the crew to die (except Chakwas)
-Bring Kasumi and Tali to fight the Oculus (so Legion dies)
Assignments
Vents - Jacob (dies)
Fire Team Leader - Any
Biotic - Miranda (bring Tali and Garrus, make sure Garrus dies)
Second Fire Team Leader - Grunt (dies)
Escort - Zaeed (dies)
Final boss squadmates - Samara and Jack
Distraction Team - Miranda, Kasumi, Tali, Mordin (only Mordin should die)
Deaths, before landing
Legion - No Shield Upgrade, incinerated
Thane - No Weapons Upgrade, impaled
Deaths, after landing
Jacob - Died by rocket to face
Garrus - Died by seeker swarm
Grunt - Died while closing second door
Zaeed - Died escorting the crew
Mordin - Died holding the line

Final Squadmates: Kasumi, Jack, Miranda, Tali, Samara (Girl power!)

Okay i decided that paragon and renegade wasnt enough diversity for me ( 2 choices? zzzz)
Anywho i decided to take this problem into my own hands.
I started a more neutral racist version of shepard!
Basicly in my ME1 playthrew i tried never to kill any humans (including saving feros) and killing
all the aliens i could (or just not recruiting them or killing them.... yip i killed wrex and said FU to garrus)
anyways i still completed a few of the mission that the aliens gave me, like the asari mission where i go
and kill her sister....you know one less alien in the world right? i figured it was worth it.
So here i am in ME 2 and im stuck.... in alot of the loyalty mission for the aliens i want dead by the end of the game
tend to lean more toward alien extinction.
for example, Tali's mission i have the option of telling the jury w/e "Hell yeah go to war good luck and i hope you all die!" or atleast thats what i heard in my head! not to mention the geth shield boost upgrade wich can be helpful on insanity. but in helping her i must now plan for a way that she will die on the suicide mission. same things goes for mordin, than, garrus, and morinth! ( yeah i helped samara then killed her.... one less alien i figure)
So In a nutshell im asking for a strategy of killing off the dirty pests on my ship!
Heres who i have to deal with
1. Tali - loyal ( i now i can clear her loyalty but i want to tell them to go to war!)
2. Garrus - Loyal (need his sniper upgrade and he kills another turian
3. Thane - loyal ( i need to kill that anti human politician!)
4. Morinth - loyal (previously stated)
5. Grunt - ( actualy still left in the pod.... i think grunts funny? yeah.... i hate him becuz everyone else loves him?...yeah shut the heck up! xD. Also i figure with wrex dead and grunt mebbeto given to cerberus for like study or something all krogan will die out in ME3 boo hoo)
6. Legion - (Sold to Cerberus)
All the other (Human) Squadmates will be loyal and i want as many if not all of them to survive ^^
Thank you in advance he who wishes death upon teamates >: D
also i have all the DLC and im playing on the Xbox 360 if it changes anything

or have the Males survive and the Females dead?Graz73 wrote...
Without overthinking this... what would I have to do to get all of the WOMEN to live, but kill all the guys?
Getting EVERYONE to survive is actually the easiest part of the game, having a select FEW that you want in ME3 survive (5 + crew dead is my ME3 import game) is more difficult and having Shepard die seems to be the hardest to achieve, but not importable into ME3 because the dead are DEAD (no Cylon Resurrection machine).

Moirall is the reporter doing a special story on a local gang in Omega. You can find her during Samara's loyalty mission. Choosing the correct password allows for her to escape/live, and adds 1 point to your "Morinth's attracted to you" bar.
