When I made that post I seemed to forget that I had Tali holding the line as well, everything made sense when I remembered that.

Recently I had Miranda survive non loyal as the 2nd fire team leader, not sure what that was about.

Miranda always survives as the second fire team leader. Although the first time you choose the second leader an unloyal Miranda will result in the death of the Vent person.

Shepard still calls her Samara.

After consulting this guide and working out plan on how to kill off my non faves, i'm satisified with the results

And the goners are:

Grunt - 2nd team leader
Jacob - But of course vents
Thane - No weapon upgrade
Jack - No armour upgrade
Legion - No shield upgrade (Actually he was alright but i didn't want to reload. And he was just a machine anyway)
Zaeed - Died in a BBQ
Samara < Morinth (Alive because needed powerful biotic for shield in SM. And can't kill her off anyway)
Normandy's crew (No escort)



Ready for ME3.

This is a great guide, but like you mentioned in it, there were a couple of things you could do worse: not do Mordin's loyalty mission and sell Legion to Cerberus. I calculated who should do what role if you want only Kasumi and Morinth to survive with these changes:
-Loyals: Jack, Grunt, Garrus, Morinth, Jacob, Thane, Jack and Kasumi
-Non Loyals: Tali, Mordin and Miranda
-Recruit Zaeed after suicide mission, kill him
-Side with Jack during Miranda/Jack fight
-Sell Legion to Cerberus
-Replace Samara with Morinth
-Traumatize Tali
-No ship upgrades
-Bring Tali and Kasumi to fight Oculus
-Use Jacob as tech specialist
-Use Kasumi as 1st Fire Team Leader
-Use Miranda as Biotic Specialist
-Use Grunt as 2nd Fire Team Leader
-Bring Tali and Kasumi as squadmates
-For final boss bring Kasumi and Miranda

You're left with just Morinth and Kasumi, Maelon finishes his genophage research and Legion is sold to Cerberus.

I didn't go into sidequests because you outlined all of them well.

And that, in my humble opinion, is the worst ME3 import.

This is great I'm really looking foward to do it, for the first time since I have played ME2 I began a renegade shepard playtrough and this is the perfect thread for that playtrough, I want my Shepard to be the worst person but the most pragmatic one, killing everyone except Garrus and Zaeed would be great for me, i think they are the only ones that are really amoral in which decisions you make.

I would like to know if it's possible to save only jack and Légion. I may have a solution but i can't test it right now. Does it seems correct to you?

First, a question. Why do I read people who say you have to avoid zaeed at all cost before the suicide mission. Recruiting him and killing him is a problem? I didn't read the all thread although ^^ And I'm not sure how some points works (I don't know who can't be recruiting as fireteam leader or tech by example, and I'm not sure to understand why the second fireteam leader can survive even if not well-choosed so I didn't use this opportunity to kill someone, so chakwas has to survive)

So without Zaeed (not recruited or already killed) I can finish with Loyal jacob or loyal grunt, loyal kasumi, loyal thane, loyal garrus, loyale jack et loyal légion. We could have loyale miranda and tali earlier if we sided with jack and légion and did not solve the conflicts peacefully.

Thane and kasumi dies because of the canon and shield upgrades (if you don't have the dlc, just do the shield upgrade). Garrus is chosen as vent spec (you can do that, don't you?), Grunt or Jacob (the loyal one) die as a squademate because miranda or non loyal samara was the biotic spec,
jacob/grunt dies (the non loyal one) saving dr chakwas.
non loyal samara and non loyal miranda go with me to kill the boss and die.

Which leave us loyal legion (2 points) loyal jack (1 point), non loyal tali and non loyal mordin (0 and 0) for holding the line. With an average of 0.75 and 4 companions to hold the line, mordin and tali dies, légion and jack (and though the player) leaves.

If anyone can confirm it's working, I really don't want to make all the game and finding it doesn't work ^^

edit: I got confused in the thread, I should have posted it in the suicide mission guide sorry :/ Not totally out of place though, I do want to make a awful playthrough of this one ^^

If i remember correctly, he can be BBQd only after suicide mission. Before that you don't have an option to do that.

Am sure there is a guide listing of that in the SM guide sticky topic but, simple way.


No Ship upgrades done
Either side with Jack during catfight if do both her and Miranda's loyalty missions or don't bother with the latter one at all.
Side with Tali during the altercation with Legion or don't bother with Legion's mission.
Don't do Mordin's loyalty mission (this is purely to ensure Zaeed survives over him)
Deaths
Armor - Jack
Shield - Kasumi
Cannon - Thane
Vent - Jacob
Biotic - Miranda, Squadmates during the walk, Zaeed and Grunt, Grunt will get swarmed
2nd Leader - Samara
Escort - Legion
Final Battle - Miranda and Garrus
HtL - Zaeed, Tali, Mordin

This will ensure Zaeed, Garrus and Tali will survive allowing you to burn Zaeed afterwards.

My rendition of the worse playthrough with my Sentinel FemShep

Making the stupid or Renegade choices in Mass Effect 2
-Killed as many NPCs as possible (Kal'Reegar, Sick Krogan, Jorim Talid, Sidonis, Maelon, Ronald Taylor, Forvan, etc.)
-Sent Veetor to Cerberus
-Let the Batarians kill Daniel (Mordin's assistant) so that the Blue Suns could take over the quarantine zone
-Didn't go to Aite, so David possibly did manage to upload the Overlord VI offworld. (doubtful but who knows)
-Didn't go to Tuchanka so to some extent have left Maelon to complete Genophage cure and Clan Urdnot doesn't know of Grunt
-Didn't help Legion deal with the heretics, so they now probably infected the True geth
-Destroyed the Collector base (probably the only stick in the mud as figured they won't let a pure renegade playthrough be worse, so one paragon choice had to be made).
-Ensure no romances in either of previous games, with Kaidan killed
-Refused to reinstate Spectre status
-Didn't help Miranda relocate her sister, so her Father possibly now has Oriana
-Traumatized Tali and caused chaos in the Migrant Fleet by using the evidence, with her father declared a traitor
   -Also suggested that they go to war anyway
-Hock still possibly has Keije's Greybox as never did Kasumi's loyalty mission
-Entropy won and the wheel of fire claimed another soul as let Kolyat kill Joram Talid
-Intentionally gave the undercover reporter, Moirall, the wrong password and acted like a complete boring person so that Morinth left the club on her own
-Told Patriarch in Omega to die like a real Krogan, and he does
-Vito Santiago still possibly alive and at that refinery still as didn't help Zaeed
-Punched Khalisah Al-Jilani
-Did no N7 mission that would give Shep data or save colonists/bases/quarians.

Mass Effect 1 choices
-Genesis Comic used so no appearance from Helena Blake, Fist, Conrad Verner, Shiala or Rana and no mail from Toombs

-Original Council dead, Udina for Councilor

This was my first Insanity run too and I loved it and found it apt that it was due to it being my 'worse' playthrough.

lol ya, this is pretty funny stuff. maybe at some point i would do this after multiple playthrus. put it on insanity and go all the way thru ME series dooming shepard to lonliness ahaa.

also i found it comical that the strat involved romancing ash, just to kill her off on virmire. seems a little on the extreme side lol

Great stuff. I ve been trying to decide on the 2 to take on the Arnie fight. I knew I was not alone...Kat and Zman it is...Too bad Shep can't be a sole survivor. Or better yet, too bad Zman is the only one you can kill off after the SM...
