The problem is, to get the fewest assets you have to do Legion's loyalty mission and rewrite the Geth. I like the idea for KBABZ suicide mission, but can you do it with Legion on the mission and being loyal?

Going through the calculations, this is not possible unless you don't mind Legion surviving (not like he'll survive ME3!). Just save him for Hold the Line in the list below, where he will survive and all other events will play out as normal.


Speaking of which, I've updated my Worst Possible Import to wind up with just Morinth and Zaeed, who you can kill later. To get it, the main things you need to do is not purchase the Cannon, Armour or Shielding upgrades for the Normandy, sell Legion to Cerberus and side with Jack in the Jack/Miranda argument, as well as doing four Missions/Assignments before heading to the Collector Base.

• Because of the lack of Armor, Jack is killed.
• Take Kasumi and Tali with you on your squad to
  the Cargo Bay. Because of the lack of better shields, Thane is killed.
• Because of the lack of better cannons, Garrus is
  killed.
• Pick Jacob for the Vent Specialist. He will be
  killed.
• The Fireteam Leader doesn’t matter, pick anyone.
• Because you took so long to get here, only
  Doctor Chakwas survives.
• Pick Miranda for the Biotic Specialist. Bring Mordin
  with you. He dies.
• For the second Fireteam Leader, pick Kasumi. She
  gets killed.
• For the crew escort, pick Tali. Both she and
  Doctor Chakwas are killed.
• For final boss squadmates, pick Morinth and
  Miranda. Zaeed and Tali stay behind, with Tali getting killed.

Trying to make Shepard the loneliest and most despised Commander in the galaxy to import for ME3, I killed 11 of 13 possible squadmates, with all dying after the Omega-4 relay (except Samara). Now the only remaining people on the Normandy SR-2 are a crippled pilot, an Asian thief, and an Asari succubus.

I had Kasumi and Morinth survive specifically because they are the least likely to show up for Mass Effect 3. Kasumi costs $7 to recruit (technically speaking) and Morinth is... well, Morinth.

All 12 loyalty missions completed. Normal recruitment mission order.

No. You can have those two alive, but Zaeed cannot be killed

 

At least 2 squadmates plus Zaeed have to be alive for him to die on his loyalty mission. If not, he will always live.

The only way for Zaeed to die on his loyalty mission, is after the suicide mission. He will not die before the suicide mission

 

If you don't want to recruit everyone and only have Thane and Morinth alive , I would do this.

 

Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Grunt, Garrus, Mordin, Samara and Thane recruited.

Do Samara's loyalty mission and choose Morinth who will kill her mother

get Thannix cannon upgrade

You wrote that Mordin is not loyal? Does that mean that I have to skip his loyality mission? If I have to skip that mission, what is the outcome then on ME3 regarding the genophage?

If you want Morinth and Thane to be the only one's to survive, don't do any of the loyalty mission's other wise others will survive

 

With Mordin dead, another salarian will take his place in ME3.

Padok Wiks will take the place of Mordin and if Wrex is dead or not recruited, he can live. If Wrex is in ME3, Padok will die if you cure the genophage and will die if you sabotage it. Later on you will encounter Wrex on the Citadel and he will die. Eve will die in all scenarios

If you don't have the Thannix cannon upgrade, Thane will die. With the upgrade, it means their is an extra squadmate to find a way to die on the mission. Why would you want to do loyalty missions if they will die in the mission?

Does getting the FBA Couplings affect the SM in anyway? Or is it only the normal upgrades in the terminal that does affect?

The SM is totally unaffected by them.

The FBAs only enable a single dialogue in Me2 (with the possibility to win/lose some credits) and alters one or two lines in ME3. (If Ken and Gaby survive).

Here is one way:

To achieve such a state, fail Thane's LM, side with Miranda when arguing with Jack, skip Kasumi's and Jacob's loyalty missions. I don't remember, but you should be able to keep both Tali and Legion as not loyal if you present the evidence during Tali's LM and side with her in Legion argument. You can then kill Zaeed in his LM

Are you recruiting everyone? You mention doing as many loyalty missions as possible. Depending on if you recruit everyone and doing many loyalty missions, it might be hard to have only Miranda, Zaeed and Morinth be the only one's to survive. Do you want to save the crewmembers?
