I want to see a video of the scene where shepherd survives on his own. I don't understand how that can happen?

I swear its not possible, as there would be none to pull you up aside from joker, and we all know how well that would work. I too would like to see a video of shepard survivng, otherwise I'm calling bull.

I made a playthrough where only Miranda, Joker and Shepard survived lol.

You sure it was just Miranda? Even if you only one loyal, one non-loyal will magically survive the final mission.

I would love to have your save. It might be a quite interesting ME3 scenario !

Do you mean when your going through the omega 5 relay? I think you have to take thane with you to fight that big...round...thing that breaks into your ship. that way thane is with you when that impaling incident plays out, and garrus is on the receiving end. :blink:ooh, now that came out wrong lol. but all of this is moot, why oh why would you want garrus impaled?!?!:o

I took Thane to fight the Oculus several times with different squadmates, he still ends up dying instead.

Also, I want Garrus to get impaled so Thane can survive the mission and later die of Kerpal's Syndrome.

Are you sure?  It's been about 2 weeks since I've done it, but ISTR taking Thane to fight Oculus and Garrus dying in his place (FWIW, I had the same reckoning as you I wanted as few teammates as possible, and I wanted one of them to be Thane since he'll be dead soon.  I am trying to create the ultimate "tragic Shepard").

I will have to play it again to confirm, but the Mass Effect Wiki has this to say about the ship upgrades:

"Shields: Tali, Legion, Thane, or Garrus. Tali and Legion are the 'preferred' victims; one is chosen at random. If both are not available because they are fighting the Oculus or Legion was not recruited, Thane or Garrus will die. They are vaporized when the Normandy's engine core explodes.

Cannons: Tali, Legion, Garrus, or Thane. You lose a party member when the Collector ship attacks you. The party member is impaled by a beam when the explosion of the Collector ship damages the Normandy. If Tali and Legion are in your squad fighting the Oculus, Garrus will die. "

What we know for sure is no armor upgrade = Jack always dead.  I think they are mostly right on the Shelds/Cannons, but I think there needs to be at least 1 more "potential death" for the following contingency: Legion never recreuited, take Tali and Thane to fight Oculus.  Say Garrus dies at the shields - who then is left to be impaled because of no gun upgrades?  Also I saw someone on another board post that he had Grunt die before he ever set foot off the ship on the collector mission - never confirmed, but given that he might be in the mix too.

I wouldn't always trust the wiki, somebody went and put on there that you can kill Grunt just after you've released him. Nope, you can shoot him sure, but he still lives.

Also someone posted on it that you can leave Zaeed to die during his loyalty mission, a few people confirmed that isn't true

The wiki isn't an official site, thus whilst it generally has good info, it isn't always correct.

See now we need a petition to play as Joker if even Shepard dies. We can limp our way through the ship and go into combat with like a tenth of the hitpoints. Maybe die if you take a melee hit. Then it would just be EDI and Joker... with a picture of EDI's holo interface in the picture frame of the captain's quarters :3

It is true. I took Zaeed to do his loyalty quest after he survived the final mission. If you choose to help the refinery workers, Vido will get away. Zaeed fires at the helicopter and accidentally discharges a heat sink into a pool of gas (the one Vido was supposed to stumble in). A pillar collapses and traps him. You have the option of either helping him and regaining his loyalty (Paragon check) or leaving him there to die.

Zaeed: SHEPARD!!!!!!

Not yet done with my 4th playthrough, but I'm assuming you can get Level 30, do all 11 loyalty missions and still end up with 2 squadmates (and entire crew dead):

Loyals: Jack, Thane, Garrus, Grunt, Zaeed, Morinth, Mordin, Jacob

Non-loyals:
Tali - Hand over the evidence at the Migrant Fleet to lose loyalty
Legion - Side with Tali during argument to lose loyalty
Miranda - Side with Jack during argument to lose loyalty
--Optional: You can screw up Thane's quest by not updating him on Jorim Talid and still get XP
--Optional: You can pick the Paragon option in Zaeed's and lose his loyalty

(Bring Tali and Legion to the Oculus)
-Jack, Thane and Garrus all die from no ship upgrades

Vents: Legion (dies)
Biotic: Jacob with Grunt/Miranda (Grunt dies)
Second Fire Team Leader: Zaeed (dies)
Final boss squadmates: Tali and Miranda (both die)
Hold the line: Mordin, Morinth, Jacob (Mordin most likely dies)

Final Survivors: Shepard, Joker, Morinth, Jacob

Why is Dr. Chakwas alive? She should be dead if you wanted the worst playthrough.

Edit: Nevermind. Just saw your update.

I really look forward to hearing how you do in ME3. :-) If it's possible for you to beat the Reapers in the third game while continuing this "worst possible" playstyle, I will be simultaneously impressed and appalled. But mostly appalled. Good job!

I don't want to beat the Reapers, I want to join them! Hopefully, my Shepard will get full health and dental to go with the booming ominous voice that comes with being a Reaper.

On that last playthrough you talked of, why don't ya just leave Zaeed at the refinery? That way you can ensure Mordin definitly dies by having him as diversion leader?

My Renegade Shepard tries to slay everyone as much as possible, and I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to get Vido and the innocent refinery workers killed.

Updated main post:

-Shot Conrad Verner in the foot, had Asari Merchant arrested (using Paragon option)
-Then guilt tripped Conrad Verner by blaming him for it (using Intimidate option)
-Warned Sidonis at first to hear his sad story, and then backed off at the end to have Garrus put him out of his misery
-Had Jacob's father shoot himself in the head
-Traumatized Tali and caused chaos in the Migrant Fleet by handing the evidence over, with her father declared a traitor
-Personally shot the hostage of Thane's son and then had the son put in jail for it
-Forced the Batarian bartender (Forvan) to drink his own poison
-Intentionally gave the undercover reporter (Moirall) the wrong password so she'll die
-Told Patriarch in Omega to die like a real Krogan (and he does)

That's disapointing.  Why would she side with Shepard and resign from Cerberus if Shep didn't bother to gain her loyalty?

IIRC she even opposes keeping the station even if Shepard wants to.  She just has her own opinion and that is to destroy the station.

It's like you are working extra hard to doom yourself in ME3. It's going to be just you in the Normandy versus the Reaper swarm. Good times.

You do realize that there is going to be new squadmates for ME3 right? lol....Meaning you could kill off everyone and STILL be able to get through just fine for ME3.

I think he's talking more about the consequences of the choices - as in, the racial allies that will help your fight against the Reapers. I doubt Shepard will just be taking a small team to disable the entire Reaper Fleet.

My goodness, I wouldn't have the stomach for a playthrough like that. Nice job. :)
