I gues I need to 'bring it' next time. I LMAO though.
How do you get Shep to die. Morinth will kill him, but the game just reloads.

That's why I always kill off Grunt by making him the second fire team leader.babylonfreak wrote...
I messed up. I left a disloyal Grunt behind to hold the fort. Alone. He lived.
He. Is. KROGAN.
Apparently he can survive an entire horde of Collectors and seeker swarms holding the line without loyalty, but can't survive a shot to the gut with his Krogan Pureblood regeneration.

I wouldn't mind a copy of your save with so many lost crew members.
Also seeing how this is possible means that there will be more recruiting going on in ME3. Either some from ME1 and others from ME2 that only had smaller roles in ME2. Also new members from ME3.
Since Kasumi isn't out yet it is possible that she will play a part as crew member in ME3, but I am sure you would find a way to get her killed as well.
I seriously doubt that there will be no recruiting in ME3, and seeing how the crew composes of atleast one from each of the major races in both games, I am sure we will get the same option in ME3.
Maybe all of your squaddies in ME2 will be gone in ME3. Except maybe Garrus and Tali. You certanly proved it is possible.
Again. Nice work at getting them all killed. Personally I go the other route and try to keep all alive (Managed in my 2nd playthrough) But your ending sure seem fun.

Actually, once Kasumi's DLC is released, I'd probably try to keep Morinth and Kasumi alive - I'm afraid they might find a cure for Thane and have him show up in ME3...vinterviken wrote...

Better yet, having my Shepard romance Liara in ME1, romance Jack, Miranda and Morinth (or rather, failing to romance) in ME2 and having them all survive for ME3.
Liara + Jack + Miranda + Morinth = Biotic catfight!

Been working on a new ME2 character (without import) to see if I can do the same thing in one playthrough. I currently ran into a roadblock with Samara/Morinth due to the lack of Renegade points. Once I get it done though, I'll try to upload it somewhere (if anyone knows a good place to upload it).
Here?

You ever left Grunt in his lifepod?
Am curious if you can kill him post-end mission ala Zaeed and wondering if you or anyone else had tried this?

Also, I have no clue about Grunt. I thought Samara and Zaeed were the only two you could kill off yourself.

old, but yes only she is living. She is the only one that magicly lives even if she dies with the Seekers. The only way to have her die for good is when she falls and is not loyal.

Ah yes, the bugged Miranda seeker swarm death. I saw the death compilation on YouTube that had it, but I've been trying to figure out how to trigger it.kraidy1117 wrote...

Can you post up a picture of your post-Omega-4 squad selection screen?

Loyal: Miranda, Jacob, Jack, and Zaheed. (Kasumi if she's around when I get to this)
Disloyal: Legion, Tali, Thane, Garrus, Samara/Morinth, Grunt, Mordin
Missions I can still do:
Do Tali's, but give up evidence.
Do Legion's, but side with Tali
Garrus: ? I don't think you can mess this one up
Thane: ? Put his son in jail? I'm unsure about this
Samara: you can scare off Morinth during the mission
Grunt: I don't think you can mess this one up, so can't do
Mordin: Also don't think you can mess this up, so can't do
Normandy Upgrades: Shields (for Jack) (is there a way to get someone else to die if shields aren't upgrades? Like using Jack for something?)
Legion and Thane die on the way there.
Vents - Tali (unloyal) dies
First Fire Team Leader - Any
Biotic - Samara (unloyal) can kill...Grunt
Second Fire Team Leader - Samara (dies)
Final boss squadmates - Garrus and Mordin (both die)
Distraction Team - Miranda, Zaheed, Jacob, Jack
I think that works! I want the crew to live, as they are human. So I may send back Miranda or Jack. I think they are both squishy and I don't want either to die in the Hold the Line phase. Probably Jack since Miranda is near impossible to kill...

Hmm, so I'm trying to plan for the all human save I want to have. Since I'm not familiar with all the ways to screw up loyalty missions, or who dies in what, maybe someone here whose done it more can correct me if I'm wrong.

Couple of things that I've found during my last playthrough that I need to correct:
-The Tali/Legion argument doesn't occur unless you gain both their loyalty (my mistake)
-You can intentionally mess up Thane's quest and still get the XP (I think) by intentionally losing the target when you're up in the catwalks (basically, just stand around instead of updating Thane). Kolyat will successfully assassinate Jorim and gets away.
-Yes, you can mess up Samara's quest and still get XP by talking about Justicars/Family.
-You have to get shields - I haven't found any way to keep Jack alive otherwise.
-I don't think you can send Miranda as the escort - she's very hard to kill off, like you said. Zaeed and Jacob I know can escort, but it's more useful to send a non-loyal back.
It's still possible to 'complete' all 11 loyalty quests and save those you want saved. Thane's can still be fully completed if you want, since he dies on the Normandy.
-----------------
Final Survivors: Shepard, Joker, Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Zaeed (Entire crew alive)
-----------------
Loyals: Jack, Jacob, Grunt, Garrus, Mordin, Legion, Thane, Miranda, Zaeed
Non-loyals: Tali, Samara
Normandy Upgrades: Armor (to save Jack)
-Hand over the evidence and traumatize Tali for Tali's loyalty mission
-Scare Morinth off when you meet her by selecting all the wrong answers
-Bring Tali to fight the Oculus (so that Legion dies in the engine room)
-Thane will die automatically from no weapons
Vents - Garrus (dies)
Fire Team Leader - Any
Biotic - Jacob (bring Miranda and Mordin, Mordin will die)
Second Fire Team Leader - Grunt (dies)
Crew escort - Tali (dies, but entire crew survives)
Final boss squadmates - Miranda and Samara (Samara dies)
Distraction Team - Zaeed, Jacob, Jack
Deaths:
Legion - No Armor Upgrade, incinerated
Thane - No Weapon Upgrade, impaled
Garrus - Rocket to the face
Mordin - Taken by seeker swarm
Grunt - Shot while closing second door
Tali - Died escorting the crew
Samara - Died at final boss

During the Samara loyalty mission in the Afterlife VIP Club, a man named Horftin asks you to give the secret password to his reporter friend or she'll die. It's funnier when you mess up on purpose.Anastassia wrote...

That is interesting... If Shepard is dead, will there be a new character, or will it still just be Shepard?
I can't wait to see what BioWare does, they are pretty much obligated to out-do ME2.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed that you cannot import a file to ME3 without a surviving Shepard. Hudson has said many a time that the series in Shepard's story; there's no game without him.

Technically speaking, Mordin can survive fending off all the Collectors at the door by himself if you set it up correctly.
thats not true.
in my doom playthrough. i had 4 people left at the final reaper, including myself.
i left unloyal mordin by himself to hold the rear. he died.
i took unloyal miranda and loyal samara with me to the reaper. miranda died and samara survived.
in the end samara ran into the normandy disappeared and left me for dead.
at the end scene joker reported to TIM and cried over all the coffins. samara was nowhere to be found in any of the scenes.
"loyalty" my ass
