Well the title pretty much says it all, I have tried several things changing the resolution etc, this is my second play-through now because my first save-file is corrupted from being saved directly at the elevator (To the Tram from Noveria 17, after you activate all the core stuff) which seems to cause the crash, just as it says "Loading" it crashes everytime.

The error I receive everytime is "Bad name index 3503/3426"

Any assistance would be appreciated, as I am just starting to get into the game and this is killing my experience =(

My system is
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8GHz LGA 1156
6 Gigs of Gskill Ram
8600 GTS Vid card  ( ya I know I am working on it)
ASUS P7P55D motherboard.

Sounds like a corrupt install. Since you got it through Steam, good news: you should hopefully be able to fix it by simply verifying the game files. Right-Click on ME1 in Steam and select Properties. Under one of the tabs in the properties window should be a button saying something like "verify game cache." Hopefully it will find something wrong & download the correct version.
