there has been a fair amount of references to her.
 Her name is mentioned in game files, somebody was able to edit a game file and caue her to appear on the character select screen, though there wasnt enough data to actaully load her in, there is one direct reference to her in the game.

I suppose we will just have to wait and see.

I think we are not discussing manga and anime here but... As far as the new vave of manga fans is annoying, making huge generalisations is not too nice. I read manga, I watch anime, I'm actualy interested in Japan culture since I was a kid. And I don't consider myself a ****** kid, simply a person with interests. Truth is that I don't do lame cosplay, don't buy plastic shurikens and don't talk japanise... and besides... what does being white has to do here?

There are some secondary Kasumi dialogues in the game, 12 as far as I know between 2-4 seconds long.

It's a shame that a new crew member DLC is a thief with nothing to steal...Unless after a trip to the Citadel/Illium there's a new upgrade/Space Hamster waiting for me thanks to her five-finger discount :/

Let's see... The first thing people thought when they saw/heard the name, was a japanse fighting game (at least, I think it is. Maybe it's a softporn film, I can't really remember). That leads me to believe that BioWare is trying to lure in the anime/hentai/mange/jrpg fans.
The screenshots only add to those fears. The description of the character almost confirms it.
I'm not a anime/mange/hentai/jrpg fan. In fact, I hate them with a passion. And mixing JRPG with Western RPG's or western style games NEVER result in anything interesting or even playable.

Is there a patch to remove bigots like you?

I'll withhold my judgment until it is released, whenever that may be. That said I'm of the opinion many others are in this thread that anime/manga is pretty much universally brain-rotting garbage and the rabid fans need to get a life, but I digress.

Personally based on the little info I have read the character does sound pretty cliche, but seeing how all the info is on a wiki site it could all be crap. I had originally heard the character was going to be a raloi, which would be cool IMO. will have to wait and see.

Haha! That's a good point... at least maybe her loyalty mission might bring in some more credits. It would be sort of funny to have someone ACTUALLY pick pocket that annoying Volus on the Citadel that accuses the poor Quarrian.

But I doubt she'll have any more application outside of combat than any of the other teammates. That said I do rather hope she has more dialog and conversations than Zaeed, who is cool in his own right but standing there pressing space bar to listen to him feels kinda cheap.

Desu is throw away and isn't really used for much there.  It doesn't mean very or really.  It's kind of an... ugh there isn't really an english equivalent, but it's an explanatory or confirmatory thing.  Kind of like 'it is the case that' or 'it is for the reason that'.

However it's supposed to be used instead of Masu as a verb ending, and kawaii/cute aren't verbs however, so I'm pretty sure 'kawaii desu' is technically incorrect.

That entire explanation, however, is totally throw away, because I'm pretty sure CC was making fun of weaboos that shout, "KAWAII DESU," about ****/trying to annoy the people that hate weeaboos.

Note: I don't really know a whole lot about japanese, I just know a couple people that studied there in study abroad programs, so I'm not like, 100% sure on the correctness/incorrectness of using Desu with Kawaii, but I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to.
