I can't believe this topic went this way..



There are a few Anime series I like. Heck, I even like Dead or Alive. But, what I see here "Oh, they mustn't do Kasumi because the name appears in Anime".. lame reasoning. That's saying we should abandon just about any Japanese name (and some European and American ones).



Be careful with labels you want to throw around. This Kasumi might be something you don't expect, and you might miss out for fear of the anime crowds.

The russian car manufacturer Lada had a model named Samara years ago. Russian cars in Mass Effect? Huge fail, BioWare!

But honestly, first time i heard the name Kasumi i tought about Dead or Alive too. And i haven't even played that game!

The only thing I hope for is that she has real dialogue options, unlike a certain mercenary.

I'm also curious where/how we'll recruit her. If there will be a mission or if she just joins us like Zaeed. I also look forward to whatever goodies her mission brings us (potential new weapons, extra upgrades, and loyalty powers oh my!)

Okay, I'm getting kind of sick of all the racial slurrs. My second name is Kasumi, I am half-japanese, and I am not from a hentai film, nor do I have size triple-F breasts and eyes that are 6 feet in diameter.

Kasumi is an ethnic ****ing japanese name. Get over it.

And also, before you judge a character, make sure you at least know a little more about her***. And why would Bioware be using her to lure in the wapanese? For one, she's wearing far too much clothing and has far too little of her face showing, she doesn't have a super-high pitched voice or call Shepard "Commander-KUN~!" (which NO, nobody actually says it like that), and she's probably not even a romance option (Zaeed wasn't even a romance option, for gods sake) so get your heads out of your asses and your minds out of the gutter.

Because a character is named Kasumi, this instantly means it is the Kasumi from Dead or Alive. What an interesting and logical leap of logic.
I won't get into the stupidity of the rest of this thread though. Although I will say I am utterly outraged at the fact that this squad member is Japanese and thus applying a little thing I call REASONS and LOGIC, BioWare is catering to weaboos. I am so intelligent and logical.
