It's about who they kill. I'd rather have my squad mate kill every criminal she encounters, than to have her seduce innocent people (like girls called Nef) and then kill them by having sex. Even if it makes her feel happy, Samara's killing for the greater good. Morinth only does it for personal gain.

Never heard samaras comment about the varren fights on tuchanka? That she want to teach the krogans empathy and would need a lot of bullets for it??
Samara isnt such an easy choice...

You can interpret that comment in multiple ways. The one thing we know for sure, however, is that she won't kill innocent people. On the contrary, she would rather die protecting them! So if she needs a lot of bullets to learn the Korgan empathy, it's probably because the Krogan would try to kill her the moment she sets foot on their planet.

Normally I take Samara. I find her to be very honorable and worthy of my respect. I couldn't justify ending her to get a potentially more powerful Asari with a terrible defect. However I do have one playthrough where I try to do the most evil things possible, and I chose Morinth in that one.

I gotta agree with Yrithe. Morinth is annoying. She is a hipster doofus. All into that 'expel' band, probably constantly mentioning how she liked them WAY before they became popular, how she's the only asari around with these cool shoes, blah blah...

You interprete a little to much .She never said things like that .Liking art doesnt make you a hipster.Only fortan was the one she though was unknown,no other things.

this question is redundant.. i think everybody finished the game at least two times and picked both to get the two bonus powers. but yeah i like them equally even if i picked samara like 4 times and morinth like 2-3 times

No.Some people just take Morinth, but reload immediatlely after it and save samara.Dominate is still unlocked after this.

I find morinth more interesting, but I still tend to get Samara. I don't know if it's because I like her for reave (she's more useful) or that I'm subconsciously picking the "goodie".

Samara threatens to kill you (post mission) if you are renegade while Morinth will subtly try to kill you post mission (which you can deny). So for renegade choosing Morinth is a better choice. Paragon is a different story... since you are essentialy a human Justicar.

That said... it's fun using group dominate on a cluster or husks (its like a mosh pit). Also... you can just get her killed in the sucide mission if you want.

Choosing Samara would make you the tool. Samara's the one about unbending laws for Great Justice and all that, not Morinth.

Frankly, I think they flubbed Morinth and Samara. Samara was made far too rosy for what was supposed to be a ruthless mystic Paladin character, whereas Morinth has little to nothing to connect with when she could have been so much more accessible and interesting as a character. I tend to 'fix' that in my mind when I play, but-

While I think Samara is overdone, Morinth is just creepy. The dialogue in her apartment does not inspire the "keep me alive" feeling. I kept Morinth in my current run to get Dominate (and no reloading, that defeats the purpose of having choices). On any future runs, going to stick with Samara.

I've picked Samara every time. The one time (3rd run thru game) I decided to consider the Morinth option but it was not made available to me.

I find the Samara loyalty mission impossible.

I picked Morinth once just to get Dominate, took her on a couple missions, decided she wasn't interesting enough to keep around, then reloaded to pick Samara. Samara isn't exactly a model citizen, but she never claims to be. She is ruthless, she admits it, but that is the life of a Justicar. The Asari seem to think such a person has a place in their society.

Ask Morinth about the objects in her apartment, however, and you'll realize she gets particular enjoyment out of the hunt. There is no good, there is no evil, there is just that moment of a perfectly executed kill. Sure, you could argue your squad is full of killers, but for them it is survival or a means to an end. To Morinth, it's pleasure.

So yeah, I find Morinth to be the sort of sociopath that I'd rather just shoot in the head than attempt any measure of redemption. And she is the only "bad guy" in the whole series about which I'd say that.

i didn't even think about it, samara all the way, due to the fact i play as a paragon and morinth couldn't live in my mind.

It should be remembered that Samara's definition of the Innocent doesn't include such groups as honest police officers, people acting under compulsion, or even people with differing oppinions as to how to do the greater good (IE Renegades). To date, the definition only seems to include children.

Samara kills a lot more people than Morinth, and is far less picky about it as well.

If I could, I would have dropped a grenade at the feet of both of them. Mon is a sociopath and Samara's code would cause conflict and I can not have someone on the team that would try and ghost me.

Actually, almost all the crew would be left alone if I had a choice.

Samara, because my renegade shep wants to waste her when it's all said and done. Morinth deserves to die too. Best of both worlds.

With the exception of my schizophrenic Shepard, I can never find a reason to choose Morinth - Samara has hundreds of years of experience under her belt, has already pledged her loyalty to you, and has the respect of an entire species.
