Hey, same problem here.
I'm from Austria and called the xbox-live support. she couldn't find the code in any of her 3 lists and was confused :pinched:
She contacted someone else from the support team and told me, that DAO is one of the games that were rewritten from v1 to 360 (?) and microsoft won't support these games any more ??? They are about to delete all the items from the shop but did not get it already. I must say I didn't understand her quite well, that's why I hate those call centers, there is so much noise. And they actually can't help you out...
I hope she's just ill-informed. This problem with status code 800700e8 already appeared dec 2008 in dragon age origins... I googled a looooot a found a lot of different speculations. many people who moved to a different country get this code in other games too. They say I shoult delete everything! and rescue my profile on live... but I actually neither trust in live.com (thinking about deleting everything makes me :sick:) nor do I believe that this would work because many dao gamers have this problem right now...
I hope they will fix it, because I get in rage...
It took me hours to install the wireless lan adapter i bought for my boyfriend as X-MAS PRESENT!! I actually managed it yesterday!!! Thanks to the xbox live support XD at last...
He was really excited about all the nice things he wanted to download and then... bing! this code <_<

It s*cks that NOBODY... neither microsoft, ea nor bioware are able to help any of their customers and even do not say anything about it! It would be nice if they said at least what's going on and if there is any hope that it will be fixed... but NOTHING. Not even an declaration what this code generally means ... I think that nobody of them even knows what it means... it's a code written  by a programmer a looong time ago and he maybe quit a loooong time ago... XD

sorry for my bad english, but i finally found a community to release my stress with microsoft. feel better now, though....

Issue is very simple to fix, MS have deleted the items off their server. The same thing happened with the GOW2 Golden Lancer.

Legally speaking, yes ... You have purchased something which has not been provided to you. That is, by definition, Fraud. Also, EA has acknowledged the market value of these items by selling them beyond the cards included (so they can't use the defense that these were free bonuses) and therefore could be held to the value.


Here's a recap of where I am with EA tech support emails...

I emailed them with the issue
-Response #1 was a link to another answer about how to clear the download cache of my Xbox ... and some other BS that had nothing to do with anything

I emailed them (in the same Support thread) again informing them that the issue was not solved, and the download from Xbox live continues to not work
-Response #2 was talking about how a Firewall was causing it, and how I could turn it off if I have Windows XP...


So basically, after giving me an answer that didn't work for the Xbox, their second answer, is for Windows! WTF!!!

I'm am seriously about to take further steps if this is not resolved soon.

If you have them in your download history prior to this issue, you can redownload them from there, so they must be somewhere / they did a crappy job when deleting the items / the problem is not in the MS server, but in the EA server ?

Lets hope it doesn't come to that, but I will take steps if this is not resolved or at least acknowledged in the coming days. I have a product that is not working, and i did pay for it, have the bills etc. Lets just hope its not going that far.

About the solutions, they don't work. This problem is not related to any issue on our side, as i have checked every possible option. I also cannot redownload it because I purchased the game a couple days back, so I did not have any prior downloads.... So i can't go into DL history to look for it... sigh..

Read through the posts... It will give you an idea whats going on. EA giving us the shaft.

Hey buddies, guess who's the new member to the club? Figure the codes been sitting around a few days...And I could use a solid tank to help soak up some of the mobs, but it would seem dear Mr. Cobble would like to remain static for the time being....Bah!

This many issues there is no point in even contacting customer service, as all one's going to get is that same outsourced babble about checking your connection...Are you sure your phone line is connected sir? Why no, my entire system is down I cant even check my email nor make a single phone call please help me person ON THE OTHER BLOODY LINE!

Yes, this is probably a stupid question...but WHY would microsoft delete content from xbox live BEFORE the "redeem by date"? Sounds a little fishy ? Obviously, there was no problem with the content if people would got it BEFORE a certain date can just redownload the license for it and it works....
And yes, if no resolution to this issue arises, I'm sure there is a lawyer out there that will glady take this to court..considering the compensation that they will get from it.
These codes are worth approximately 15$ (usd) according to my game case.
15x?... I'm sure EA doesn't want to spend that kind of bank roll on a problem they SHOULD have fixed..tho a lot of these companies now-a-days think they can break the rules since they have more money to fight in court with??

Sorry for rambling..This whole situtation has gotten me quite upset.
I banned all Blizzad games due to there....idiocy.....now must i ban another game maker from my selves?

what !!! i just bought the dlc keepers warden and RTO a couple days ago now are you telling me you cant use them or can you in the game ??? im very confused. what a total waste of my money to bad i cant bring this game back to the store because i already opened it. so this dlc code error 800700e thing isnt going to be fixed because they dont support the game any more? then why would they still sell the other dlc online and why did other gamers where able to successfully use there codes when they bought the game new and enjoy DAO before. This is a total let down again today. might need to go see a therapist to depressed over this hahahaha jk....

So annoyed with this issue. You pay extra for collector editions to get "extra" in-game items and you just end up with a headache!



I'm sure it's the same for everyone else but just to reiterate - I redeemed the code online with no problems. In my "User Entitlements" page, it shows I have the Blood Dragon Armor and the Stone Prisoner DLC. In my Downloadable Content page on my 360, both say they're purchased but I have neither, there's no trace of them in my download cache and when I try to download them in-game, I get the 800 pop-up.



I can see that the Stone Prisoner is still up in the Marketplace for a ridiculous price of 1200 MS Points. If Bioware can't patch this for anyone effected, they should give us a code for the 1200 points at least!



Something needs to be done and soon!

I'm having the same issue. I figure anyone who would know how to actually fix this issue got a long weekend and the only people at the call centers are the ones who can only read from a script. So I'm giving them till tomorrow afternoon to address/fix this issue. Probably something simple like a drive failure/file corruption/network hardware failure. as another poster stated, it sucks being an IT guy when something like this happens. you keep going through all sorts of different scenarios trying to figure out what could be wrong.

What do you mean? how does this have to do with the problem? Us dragon age players cannot download shale, or the blood armor, and all we get is "Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Please try again later.

Status Code: 800700e8"

Many people have had this problem and Bioware and Microsoft are confusing me with misc. solutions that dont WORK.

(Btw ive been trying to fix mine for 4 hours now)
